Richie investigates the crashed police cruiser

Richie decided to check out the crashed police cruiser. He gripped his handgun as he approached the wrecked vehicle. Pulling open the passenger side door, Richie found a small portable radio sitting in the front passenger seat. "I might be able to use this." Richie thought as he picked it up. When he switched it on, nothing happened. Opening the battery compartment, he found it was empty. "Figures." Richie sighed, rolling his eyes as he slipped the radio into his pocket.

Walking around to the back of the cruiser, he lifted the trunk lid to find it was loaded with police equipment. It had several bulletproof vests, some SWAT tactical armor, a few pistols and submachine guns, a 12-gauge shotgun, and a riot shield. Rich put away his handgun and started sorting through everything. "This might be useful later on." Richie said to himself as he slipped a bulletproof vest over his sweater and put on the tactical armor. Putting the weapons into his duffel bag, Richie slung the bag over his shoulder and looked around at the street.

He could check any of the surrounding houses for survivors, investigate the overturned truck nearby, or head back to his house. As the moans started to get closer, Richie decided to,
