Normally, you would keep the Ace and the Threes. But something tells you that you're going to need something more than a pair of threes to stay out of the low spot when the hands are revealed. And maybe you're playing a little wild because, well, the situation is a little wild.
So you keep the Ace and discard the other four cards.
You end up drawing the nine of hearts, the eight of hearts, the six of hearts and the four of hearts.
Holy shit, you drew a flush!
When everyone reveals their hand, Nadine ends up with the lowest hand, with a pair of fives.
"You lucky son of a gun," she grins, as she bends down and takes of her socks.
You can't disagree with her, although you remember what your father said about luck. It always runs out when you need it the most. With that in mind, you look at the next five cards dealt to you.
