Chapter #3

Food for thought...

by: Captain Tremor Author IconMail Icon
As you were thinking about the many things you could potentially do, you’re train of thought was brought to a sudden halt as your stomach let out a light..
*growl*
You hadn’t noticed it until now, but you were hungry! You’ve only had a light breakfast so far and it was already far into the afternoon. So, your best best, time to hit the food court!

You quickly jumped off the bench and, with a decently fast pace, headed towards the food court. Your eyes darting back and fourth to make sure no one manages to screw you up somehow by sitting on you or you running into their ass by not paying attention.

After a few minutes, and by some amazing luck, you made it! The entire food court sat before you, with roughly a dozen different food places to pick from.

Unfortunately, most of the different food places was decently busy, long lines and overworked workers ran the majority of them. Your stomach wasn’t exactly kind enough to grant you the patience to sit through all that, so you scanned around to find the shortest lines to grab a much needed bite.

Three different locations seemed to be the shortest, a Mexican place, a burger place, and a soft pretzel place, but each seemed to have something that raised a red flag in your mind...

1. The Mexican place had a 4 decently tall and attractive ladies waiting in line, all of them collectively in a circle as chatting. All of them drenched in sweat and holding what looked like gym bags. Clearly they just got back from the malls gym and weren’t exactly showered or dried off after a hard workout.

2. The Burger place had the longest of the three places lines, with the last person being a absolutely stacked blonde girl, dressed in a pink top and black yoga pants with the words “Man Eater” written across the seat of them and stretched out their absolute limit due to her bulbous cheeks. She herself was nose deep in her phone and wasn’t really paying all that attention to her surroundings.

3. The pretzel place didn’t actually have a person in line, but the people person behind the counter was kinda concerning. Two girls were working, both on the heavier side. One with a head of black hair and tan skin who was making some more pretzels, and another with frizzle red hair and pale white skin who was just standing around at the counter, bored out of her mind. What raised your tentativeness was that several people walked by the store, but covered their noses in disgust and walked off. Whatever smell was coming form over there, it definitely wasn’t the salty smell of pretzels...
