After several tries at shouting and waving, you fail at getting your titanic leonine daughter's attention. Her ear sometimes flicks to the side and she occasionally looks up from her notebook...but never towards you. Scowling at your bad luck, you slump back down onto the backpack and try to think of another option. Every moment you spent out here in the open, away from Sapphire's attention, was another you could end up as lunch for some random monster, or even flattened without being seen.
You had to find some other way of getting her attention!
At least Sapphire was diligent--her eyes barely left her notebook except to look up at the blackboard.
Wait...that was it! If you could get onto Sapphire's desk or notebook, she'd be bound to see you!
It'd mean YET ANOTHER grueling climb, but it was worth the strain. You'd already come this far, after all. It wouldn't be as hard just getting to her desk, either: Sapphire's backpack was leaning right up against her desk, so you just had to step over a small gap onto the seat.
But now you faced a different problem...how were you going to climb?
You could climb the desk; there were some bars attaching the writing area to the chair...but it was a VERY steep climb, and losing your grip could send you tumbling to the floor if you fell at the wrong angle.
And then, there was another option; one you were FAR from comfortable with even thinking about...
Climbing Sapphire herself. The whole business set off "Inappropriate Alarms" in your head, not to mention you were in public. You didn't want to embarrass the poor girl in front of everyone here.
Then again, it MIGHT be a bit safer than climbing the desk, and she could notice you before you reached the top...
