Chapter #5

A week later, you're both checking out.

It had been a week since you woke up in the hospital after the accident. A week since you'd been told that your lifelong best friend had his brain placed in the body of some troubled local stripper. It didn't make it any easier that she was a total knockout either. Randall woke up not long after you and had taken the news as well as could be expected, with a joke and a smile, typical Randall-fashion. However, when the doctors explained the controversial nature of his operation, as well as the need for him to maintain a public facade with the identity of the donor body, reality had hit home. While glad to be alive, Randall didn't want to be a woman, let alone a stripper. The days since have been an uphill struggle to get Randall acclimated to his new body and keep him thinking positively.

While you and your family have certainly met the need, the same could not be said for Randall's. Early on, his father and step-mother arrived to check on him. While his father was obviously confused by his son's new appearance (a state of mind which did not keep him from ogling Randall's rather voluptuous form), Alice made no bones about her feelings: that the doctors had created not only an abomination, but a whore. Needless to say, they did not stay long.

In the mess of all the tests and scans being run on him, your mother and sister had taken charge of educating Randall on the ways of womanhood, much to his chagrin. Despite his loathing of their sessions, he began to adapt. Primarily, the way he moved. In the beginning, his movements were stiff and awkward. As the days ticked by however, Randall was slowly moving more and more like the woman he appeared to be. The pronounced wiggle and twist of his hips that had worked its way into his stride aroused some pretty confusing feelings each time you noticed it. That being said, in the short instances when the two of you had some reprieve to hang out, things were basically business as usual. Still joking about the same dumb things, criticizing the terrible hospital food, lamenting the lack of good things on TV. For all intents and purposes, Randall was still Randall. Both of you kept the talk of his change to a minimum, though mostly it was because of the constant stream of interruptions by visitors. You suspected that once the two of you got out of the hospital, Randall would have some things to say on the matter.

A silver lining in the debacle was that Randall would be coming to live with your family. In lieu of sending him back to live in Morgan's unknown, but most likely questionable living situation and his own parents being a non-option, your mother offered him the spare room, which he readily accepted. The two of you had often thought about moving out and rooming together. In spite of this bizarre twist of circumstances, or perhaps even because of them, you couldn't wait to have Randall come live with you.

Finally, the day arrived and the two of you were ready to check out. You had already dressed and hurried off to Randall's room while your parents were busy signing release paperwork. As you got close, you noticed that the door was open only a crack. Instead of bursting in as you normally would, you could hear voices inside and stopped to listen.

"So what are you trying to say, Doc?" asked Randall, concern evident in his voice. It was still hard for you to believe that the sweet, feminine sound of that voice now belonged to your best friend.

"Well, Randall," said Dr. Kerry, "you don't have to worry about anything as far your identity goes. Though the majority of the brain in your head actually belonged to Morgan, according to our test, in terms of personality, memory and identity, you are still Randall Davis. However..." There was a pregnant pause. "You have a woman's brain now. Some things are going to change a bit as you continue to adapt. First and foremost, Morgan was a heterosexual woman. I know all of the concepts about the brain can be complicated and confusing. I'm not sure how much you were previously aware of, but evidence suggests that certain structures in the brain help dictate things like sexual preference. As the recipient of Ms. Powell's brain..."

Randall cut him off, "I'm going to start liking guys?" His tone was nervous.

"Yes," said the doctor flatly. "I'm sorry, Randall. I know that no young man wants to hear something like that." Holy shit! you thought. You hadn't even considered something like that might happen. After first seeing Randall's new body, a part of you had hoped a little. Now, amidst the astonishment, you felt sorry for your friend.

"I had a feeling something like that had started to happen. A couple of days ago, I started paying attention to other guys. Couldn't really put my finger on why," said Randall with embarrassment. "I suppose I'm not really much of a guy anymore." An air of resentment had crept into Randall's voice. "Sorry, Doc. I don't mean to sound ungrateful. I guess I'm just lucky to be alive at all. Anything else I need to know?"

"A few more things. You're almost home free." Dr. Kerry paused again. "As you know, Ms. Powell was a stripper, among other things. From some information we've gathered about her, Dr. Saunders and I feel that she might have been hyper-sexual."

"What exactly does that mean?"

"Basically, a sex addict. Now before you get worked up about that, keep in mind that the cause of hyper-sexuality is WIDELY debated. We don't know exactly what causes it. I wanted you to have full disclosure about this, but there is no reason to think that you will have to deal with that issue. In the event that you feel anything out of the ordinary, for whatever reason, please give us a call immediately. Considering the identity you are assuming, it is my suggestion that you don't involve yourself in Morgan Powell's affairs more than you must."

"Can do, Doc," Randall said morosely. "Is there any good news in all this?"

"Actually, yes," said the doctor, sounding significantly more chipper. "There is actually a lot of latent information still stored in Morgan's brain. You will continue to recover from the surgery and as new neural pathways for, you will probably gain access to some of it. Over time, any skills that she had learned you will eventually be able to use with no time or effort. As your motor functions can attest, you've been able to master walking and moving in a new body in under a week. It's rather remarkable."

Sounding less than enthused, Randall replied, "If you say so."

"Lastly, as this procedure was an experiment, the hospital is prepared to compensate you for your participation as outlined in your non-disclosure agreement." There was a sound of rustling paper. "You should be receiving checks in this amount monthly for a good long while."

"Holy. Shit."

"I figured you'd be happy about that. Well, Mr. Davis, I will see you next week for your check up. You have a clean bill of health and a new life to live. Good luck." You could hear the shuffling of feet. Shit! you thought. I can't let them catch me listening at the door! Quickly you try to take some loud steps and give a knock on the door. A second later, the smiling face of Dr. Kerry opened it. "Good to see you up and about Mr. Connor. I was just leaving." With that, the doctor exited and you turned to face your friend.

Gone was the hospital gown that you'd both been forced to wear during your stay. Revealed, the body of Morgan Powell took your breath away. She had long, straight blonde hair that appeared to descend to almost waist level. Sparkling blue eyes, lit up an unbelievably gorgeous face. She wasn't even wearing make up. You had assumed her breasts were large under the amorphous tent of the hospital gown, but revealed by the low cut crop top she was wearing, pert tan watermelons were the only way you could describe them. The shirt also served to highlight her toned and incredibly waspish waist which flared to dramatically wide, but lean hips. Voluptuous, thick thighs came out of the tiny short shorts she wore, tapering down to rather svelte calves. She stood perched on a pair of fairly high heels, accentuating the feminine shape of her legs. You stood gawking.

"Uh, dude?"

The angel spoke to you! Wait. Giving your head a shake, you come to your senses, realizing that you've been openly drooling over Randall! You give a sheepish, embarrassed laugh. "Sorry, bud. Didn't mean to stare." You could feel yourself blushing. "That outfit..."

You felt a sudden punch in your shoulder. "Tim, snap out of it. It's just me. No need to get all flustered. You can look, man. It's fine. Really. Everyone else is already..." You could tell he was embarrassed as well, but was doing his best to not let it get the better of him. "This was what she was wearing when they brought her in... Your mom and Tabitha are going to take me shopping to get me some clothes that look a little less... ya know, uh, slutty."

"Yeah, cool," you said, nervously. You knew it was really just Randall, your best friend, but being in the presence of a such a beautiful woman was completely unnerving. Plus, after hearing what the doctor had told him...

"Did you hear what the doctor said?" he asked, giving you a knowing look. Speak of the devil! You decide to...
