Your youngest Aunt, Brandy Miller age 27

"I'm sorry Tim but we had to put you in your Aunt Brandy's body" Dr. Saunders said as I took a sip of water.

"What" I said as I really heard my new voice thanks to the water. "What do you mean I'm in my Aunts body". I was still socked, but hearing my aunts voice escape my lips really sealed the deal.

"Well, it seams that she was also headed home from the same football game that you had attended, and had gotten in a separate car accident. She was brought here, but her brain had stopped working" Dr. Kerry said, before pausing a moment to let me comprehend what he was telling me. "So when we discovered that your family was already here we asked if we could do this procedure to enable you to live and they gave us a go ahead"

"Do you need a minute or two to wrap your head around this" Dr. Saunders asked.

"I think so" I replied. And with that they left and I was left to myself and my thoughts. You see, my aunt (moms youngest sister) had graduated college last year and was now teaching 2nd grade at my old elementary school. I thought back to all my memories of her and how every choice she had ever mad now was going to effect my future life in some way, shape, or form.

I had been sitting quietly in my hospital room for maybe an hour and a half with nothing but my own thoughts when there was a knock on the door. "Come in" I said, still uneasy about my aunts higher pitched voice escaping my lips. As the door opened I was greeted by the sight of my mom, now older sister.

"Hi sweetie, how are you holding up?" She asked.

"Don't you mean sister" I said kinda frustrated by the sweetie thing.

"Hey it's not like this is easy on us"

"Oh yeah. Did you lose eleven years of your life?"

"No, but I didn't want to lose my son and youngest sister on the same day"

"I just don't understand why you'd let them do this to me is all"

"Sweetie, you were pronounced dead when you arrived here. But according to the doctor your brain would be active for a short amount of time. So they looked through all the possible bodies you could have and discovered that Brandy had died just a few minutes before you got here. So your father and I decided we'd rather just lose one family member than two"

"God you put it that way I sound like a real jerk. So, when can I leave?"

"The doctors want to run a few tests to make sure your body still functions properly and keep you under observation for a night so tomorrow at the absolute soonest"

"Ok. So, where am I gonna live now?"

"Well, sense Brandy had just moved in with a friend about a week ago and hasn't finished taking everything out of storage from when she moved in, your father and I were thinking you could make up an excuse for moving in with us. That is unless you don't want to"

"I think I'm gonna live with you guys for a while" I said. "I'm gonna need help getting used to all this"

"Don't sweat it sweetie"

"Don't you mean sister" I replied sarcastically.

We talked for a few more minutes before mom was told she would have to leave because the visiting hours were over. About fifteen minutes after she left some nurses came in my room and ran me through some tests to make sure my aunts (now my) body was still fine. It was. The tests took no more than half an hour, and sense I wasn't feeling tired I watched the TV. There wasn't much on, so I eventually settled on some fashion show. I figured it was a good way to get some insight as to why women wear what they wear. I started to lose interest in the show and ended up falling asleep around 9:30pm.
