Aleu woke up one morning to find out she had a big problem...a very big one.
The day before, she had been brought back home to Nome to once more live with her family, and, amazingly enough, now former wolf enemy Niju was living with them, as well.
You see, Niju had, yesterday morning, been feeling agonized at his decisions, thanks to what his awful past had made him into and, after running through the woods for some time, gone into a cavern which just happened to have a special geode in it, as he would discover once he was deep in there, said geode being between quite a few stalactites and stalagmites.
It's status of being special, as the glowing mysticism would give off, was that it could literally do anything and everything that anyone and everyone who happened across it wanted, and what little good was left in Niju spurred him to put this to the best use it could be put to.
So, looking directly at it, he had its mystic properties make it so that everything was forever set right with the world, past, present and future, and that everyone would know he did it and why he decided to.
Though it worked, there were two side effects...Niju was teleported to Nome and so was Aleu(though Nava was perfectly able to become the pack's leader once more), and, thanks to how Niju had done this on a day when nighttime would just happen to have a full moon, there was an even worse side effect that no one would know about until it happened.
And that was how anyone who slept under where the full moon's beams were on that night would have a full moon kind of weight gain of the vastest sort.
Despite him and everyone else knowing all else about what Niju had done, neither he nor any one of them, Aleu or otherwise, was aware of the second side effect and neither he nor them counted on it, either.
They easily came to see, despite not knowing it before, what the first side effect had to be, and everyone, including Aleu and Niju, easily adjusted to having her old life back and having his new life now started, respectively.
Niju told everyone how sorry he was for all he'd done, but Balto pointed out it wasn't necessary and that everyone knew he'd done this largely out of repentance, along with all else everyone knew about what he'd done(of course Niju was welcomed to his new life as a friend and non-bloodline member of Balto's family, which he was most grateful for along with loving all the forgiveness and lauding he received).
So, moving on to the fact that each canine had a different sleeping spot on that night and Aleu was sleeping under that full moon, its beams made her glow white, and, when she woke up the next morning...
"WHAT THE?! HOW DID I GET THIS WAY?!! I JUST HAPPENED TO FALL ASLEEP UNDER THE MOON!!!!" Aleu exclaimed, confused, shocked and terrified.
You see, despite how her forepaws and forelegs, hindpaws, central back and lower hind legs, neck, tail and face looked more or less the same as before, it was a whole different story with the rest of her, as she had layers and ripples of fat aplenty on her sides of her back and belly alike, and speaking of her belly, it was easily larger than the world's biggest exercise ball, almost obscuring her face.
There was no denying it. Aleu was morbidly obese, and blatantly so. Even her navel, despite being the same otherwise, had gotten longer, deeper and taller.
She didn't know what she was going to do or what she was going to tell anyone, and it went from bad to worse when she heard footsteps, and then a giant gasp of alarm, turning to see that it came from the throat of...
