Amy headed up from her private chamber in the Tower that she had been gifted by her own teacher up to the roof, where she did most of her research into the summoning arts. And, like every time she did so, she grumbled all the way as she climbed the stairs. Unfortunately, flight spells didn't really come that easily to her, and teleporting herself was a lot more difficult than teleporting others. So she had to move using her feet like all the other non-wizards in the world. Truly, it was one of Mogoria's greatest injustices.
At least, in a room near the top of the tower, she was able to summon up some breakfast. She'd made a deal with the Queen that in return for keeping the kingdom safe, the royal chefs would prepare her 3 square meals every day. So long as she could get better at summoning, why should she care how big she got?
Amy then turned her mind to the task at hand. She headed out of the room where she had her meals and climbed the final staircase to the roof, where she had been meticulously inscribing a summoning circle for the past month. It was easy enough to call up inanimate objects like food with a simple spell, but calling upon stronger entities took a lot of hard work to get right. Even after completing the circle, Amy had spent a week going over it again, making sure that not a single line was out of place. But finally, she felt like she was ready.
Amy began to speak the words that would draw a supernatural entity into her summoning circle. Specifically, she was attempting to summon a...
