Day 2: (Due) Dates With Destiny

Claire didn't remember much as her cellphone woke her up sometime around 8:00 PM.
She remembered talking to Elizabeth the night before, an act that always calmed her nerves. She remembered the conversation clearly, even the whole portion about Elizabeth's family also trying Xpect.

But sometime after leaving, she didn't remember getting back into her safe warm bed and going to sleep. She vaguely remembered another pregnancy related dream, sometime about her family and Elizabeth's family all waddling around complaining about their pregnancies, but it was all a blur.

Claire picked up the phone and smiled, seeing it was her husband, calling from his international business conference overseas. Answering the call, she smiled and perked up a little bit, all the worries washing away from her.

"Heya honey. How you doing?" Claire smiled. "URK!" Was the answer she heard back from the phone, causing her to hold the phone away from her head as the violent sounds of her husband throwing up came in clearly through the phone.

"Honey?" Claire asked, starting to get worried about her husband's health. "Ugh, I'm fine." He said, spitting into whatever it was he was throwing up in. "You know how it is with this multi-day conferences, one person gets sick, and then EVERYONE gets sick. How are you doing honey?" He asked.

"I'm fine. Just feeling a little queasy this morning" Claire said, which was true. That strange nausea had returned, but not necessarily to the point that she was going to throw up. "I know that feeling." Her husband said on the other end of the line.

"Well what happened?" Claire asked. "Well, I arrived at the convention only to find out that parts of the presentation that our group was suppose to do wasn't finished or something. So me, Tom, Jenny, Anita, Brenda, and Mark decided to pull an all-nighter trying to finish it up before our group goes in a few days. After downing a few cans of some energy drink that Brenda found at some local street vendor around here, we all got really sick, but we powered threw it. That presentation is going to knock the socks off the investors and the board. It's going to be big, really big. I can finally get that raise, and I can work less hours and spend some more time with you and the kids." Her husband said, sounding a little sad about how much he was working all the time.

"Energy drink?" Claire asked, wondering if... "Yeah, something called Xpact or something. It tasted horrible and made everyone sick, but we got it done. Strange thing is though, my chest is killing me and I'm still throwing up, I mean it's night over here! I'm pretty sure one of the people here are sick or something. You wouldn't believe how many hands I had to shake." Her husband said.

"But the good news is, if the presentation goes as well as I think it well, I can be home early. We were scheduled for 9, but I think I can home a day early, six days from now. Dosen't that sound great? I could have an extra day at home." Her husband said over the phone, through bites and chews.

"Are you eating something?" Claire asked. "Oh yeah, I got room-service. Cheeseburger, fries, chocolate milkshake, chicken wings. God, I feel like a fat pig eating all of this, but I'm starving for some reason. I had such a craving all-day. I'll probably work it all off during these conferences, running from floor to floor and room to room, but you know what they say: Feed a cold, starve a fever. Mmm" Her husband said, stuffing more food into his face, unaware that he was eating for three.

"Okay, just don't eat to much. I still you're lovely sexy lankiness" Claire said, flirting with her husband over the phone. She missed him when he was gone so much. It was much tougher this time, because Claire found herself overflowing with...needs. She had no idea where it was coming from, but it was nice that somewhere deep inside of her, the passion still burned.

"I love it when you talk to me like that" Her husband said through muffled words, his face full of food.
"Well, I gotta get going. I gotta round up the group and start heading to boring meetings and stuff. I love you very much, and take care of the kids for me. " Her husband said, burping loudly and hanging up the phone.

Sadness washed over her, like her emotions were on a roller-coaster. Shaking it off, she got up and un-dressed, stopping in shock as she saw what she saw in the mirror. Her breasts, her slightly sagging, older breasts... were huge! Well, huge to her. They were bigger, at least a cup-size and a half bigger. Her nipples were darkening into a deep shade of brown, and when she touched then.. Claire was almost knocked off her feet by such a sensation that hadn't felt since she was...

Claire's eyes went wide in realization. "No.." She said, turning to her side, her hand exploring her still flat-stomach. "Get it out of your head Claire. You haven't had sex with him in months." Claire said, hammering reason into her head, in a situation where reason left town with reality.

Getting in the shower, she washed every part of her, including her much bigger breasts, and dried off. Changing into a simple blue shirt that was oddly tight around her chest, hugging her every new curve, she puts on her favorite pants (which also seemed to be getting tight in the backside and on the hips), and walked down stairs.

The sounds of vomiting greeted her ears. Looking over to the bathroom, she saw her son bowing to the porcelain god. "Brad, sweetie, is everything okay?" Claire asked, the sounds of the urking and splurking making her nearly to want to vomit herself.
"Y-yeah. I'm just a little nauseous this morning, and my chest is killing me. Britney as well. I think it's something going around. The Dawsons were complaining about it yesterday night. I think it's some kind of bug" Brad said, turning away from the toilet and resting his head against the wall.

"Are you guys still going to the mall today?" Claire asked, hunger gnawing at her. "Yeah, I mean I think so. We were going to see a movie and then shop. "Brad said.

"Well, just be careful okay?" Claire asked.

Claire left her son and went down to the kitchen for breakfast. Her middle daughter Britney was nowhere to be found, probably still sleeping in, but her daughter Bella as up, texting on her phone and scarfing down cereal. "Morning Bella" Claire said with a smile. "Mmm" Bella responded back, not taking her eyes off her phone.

Claire frowned a little bit. Bella was her youngest child, and was quickly falling away from her. She was starting to get interested in all the things that girls her age were into, and most of that involved ignoring her parents. She wasn't a bad kid, quite the opposite. Bella was kind, sweet, smart, well behaved, a straight A student, but half of the time, she was barely seen, going from this social event to that friends house nearly everyday.

Claire gave up trying to talk to her youngest, opting instead to fry up some eggs. She had such a craving. She didn't even really like eggs, but an omelet called to her right now. Hell, she hadn't had an omelet since she was... Claire shook that train of thought of the rails of her brain, and went back to frying up a big omelet filled with peppers, vegetables, cheese, meat, the works.

After quickly scarfing down the food with gusto, her phone buzzed with a text message. It was from Elizabeth. KIDS OUT OF THE HOUSE. WANT TO HANG OUT? TALK ABOUT LAST NIGHT?

Claire paused.

She texted back: YES.

Elizabeth texted back: SEE YOU SOON.

As Britney and Brad came down the stairs..We..
