You walked out of the Lumiose city gym with pride knowing that you were one step closer to becoming the Pokemon league campion. As you were about to start off to your next city, you were stopped by Clemont, the gym leader that you had just beaten.
"Hey, that was a great battle back there. As a gift for beating my gym, I'd like to give you a little something that I invented that my help you on your journey. Because the future is now thanks to science!"
He handed you a strange looking device, which stored in your bag. You exchanged your good byes then headed off for your next badge.
After leaving the city, you wanted to do a little training before arrive in the next town, so you headed into the tall grass. Hoping for a strong Pokemon, you were let down when all you could find was a Fletchling but a Pokemon is a Pokemon, so you pull out your Braixen and challenge it to a battle. Right as your about to start, you think of the device Clemont gave you and decide to pull it out to see if there's anything useful for training on it. Studying the device, all you find is two buttons on it. Letting your curiosity get the better of you, you decide to go ahead and press the red button. The device hums to life, attracting the attention of your Braixen.
Suddenly, without warning, the device begins to shake. Questioning the safety of the item, you are tempted to throw it on ground. Before you get the chance though, the device explodes, rendering unconscious on the ground and scaring away the Fletchling.
When you wake up, the first thing you notice is that all of your clothes are now gone, and something seems off. You get up and look around but quickly fall back on your butt when you notice that you have been shrunk.
