Chapter #5

A dark-haired freshman.

    by: HJeff Author IconMail Icon
Fifteen year old Tawnee Wiliams was a dreamer. Not a fantasizer. A dreamer.

Her dreams were of a softer, brighter world where things were prettier and happier. There were some romantic and sexual elements to her dreams, but those were both fuzzy, and Tawnee was a virgin with no romantic experience and very little passive knowledge about sex, and no active knowledge at all/

Tawnee came from a broken home with five siblings, each with a different father, and a mother whose various habits and interests made her indifferent to what happened in the lives of her children, except for the subsidies she received for her children each month.

So dark haired Tawnee, the skinny little fifteen year old girl in raggedy clothes went to school every day, ignored by teachers and her fellow students alike, and retreated into her dreams every chance she got.

Tawnee knew who Rose was, of course. Everyone knew who Rose was. She was the badass senior who everyone avoided. Even the teachers seemed to go out of their way not to antagonize Rose. Secretly, Tawnee wished she was more like Rose, and not just a little mouse of a girl who was afraid of her own shadow. Of course, when Tawnee worked Rose into her dreams, Rose didn't look quite like Rose. Rose was still strong and badass, but Rose's appearance and language wasn't quite as jarring.

Tawnee wasn't exactly stalking Rose that day. Not exactly. She was just sort of in the same hall at the same time. I mean, school was getting out, and she had to catch the bus. So of course she and Rose would be in the same hall. And the fact that Tawnee's last class of the day was two corridors over from Rose's didn't mean anything. It was still a coincidence that they were in the same corridor when Rose went down on one knee.

When Rose did hit the floor, Tawnee's first instinct was to rush to help her. There was no one else left in the corridor, after all. Even the teachers had left as fast as possible at the last bell. But something held Tawnee back. Meeting and becoming best friends with Rose was a very nice dream, but Tawnee had no idea how to interact with real life Rose.

And then Rose just disappeared, like she had gone up in invisible smoke after some kind of flameless spontaneous combustion.

To Tawnee, it was like she was watching another person control her body. She heard herself yelling "Are you okay?" before running over to the pile of clothes. Just as she got there, she saw something she couldn't believe was true. A six inch nude version of Rose came crawling out of her pile of clothes.

Tawnee didn't know why she didn't go screaming down the hall in terror. What she was seeing didn't happen in real life. It didn't even happen in dreams. And it certainly didn't happen in the cute little movies she downloaded from the internet.

Tawnee went to her knees and heard herself saying, "What happened?" And she reached out to touch tiny Rose.

As soon as Tawnee touched Rose, there was an explosion of light in Tawnee's eyes. It was a multicolored light, and there was sweet music accompanying it.

The next thing she knew, Tawnee was climbing out of her own clothes, also only six inches tall.

Except it wasn't Tawnee who climbed out of her clothes. And it wasn't a six inch nude Rose who was facing her.

Tawnee had had a rough life. During the summer, meals were sporadic and unpredictable. During school, she got a free lunch and breakfast, while dinner and meals on the weekend were unpredictable. So Tawnee's skin, skinny build and blemished skin were the natural byproduct of such a "regime."

Rose's appearance, too, was a product of her lifestyle, though at least in Rose's case at least her lifestyle choice was voluntary.

But the shrunken Rose and Tawnee who stared at each other were the product of good diets and plenty of rest. Rose had always been big chested, but her body was firm and toned. Tawnee was big bosomed now as well, with the same taut, firm body. Both had long hair, clean and healthy, that reached down to the small of their back. To Rose's disgust, her hair was it's natural auburn color. And not only had Rose lost the edgy hairstyle she liked to sport, all the tattoos and piercings on her body had disappeared as well.

"What the fu---- fu--- fu---?" Rose shook her head, staring down cross eyed at her nose. Try as she could, she found her mouth refused to form any of many curse words that were the mainstay of her vocabulary. After a few second , she gave up and heard herself using language she hadn't used since elementary school.

"What the heck did you do to me?" Rose asked. There was a certain five letter word Rose wanted to end that question with, but her brain refused to even think the word.

Before Tawnee had a chance to formulate an answer, a male's voice from above asked, "Well, well, what do we have here?" Both girls looked up in time to see two male hands reaching down towards them.
