So one day when Dr. Holiday is performing some routine tests on Rex (maybe a physical or just a quick analysis of how well his nanites are functioning) when she triggers a new function in his nanites that affects the nanites in other people. Put simply, his nanites now manipulate the nanites of everyone else to affect their brains so that they will believe that everything Rex says is the (as Hamn8r put it) "the complete and undeniable truth."
