You wrench your eyes shut and prepare to be flattened. You know that it's over, that your life is about to end underneath the soft sole of your aunt. But, death sure is taking it's time. And for that matter, being dead sure feels like being tossed up and down...
You reopen your eyes. Cassandra's sole was still merely inches (on your scale) above your head, but it wasn't coming down. In fact, it was going up! Then coming down. Then going up again.
You let out a sigh of relief. It wasn't time for you to die quite yet. You'd let out a laugh, but you didn't want to risk filling your mouth with sweat.
-----------------------------------
Cassandra had a whole day ahead of herself. Her kids were with the ex-husband, and there wasn't anything on her schedule but to kick back and watch some TV. So, she dropped her feet into her most comfortable loafers and began to play with them. This wasn't a conscious plan; her feet just wanted to play.
The TV was playing one of her favorite movies of all time, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." As she watched, her favorite scene came on.
"What... is your favorite color?" the old man asked Sir Robin.
"Blue. No, wait, green?" Sir Robin's answer wasn't satisfactory, and he was launched into the ravine. Cassandra burst out laughing. How could anyone forget their own favorite color? Her entire body moved with her laughing fit, including her legs.
-----------------------------------
As a plan began to form in your head, the foot stopped bobbing right on top of your head. Worried, you strained to hear the outside world. It wasn't clear, but it sounded like it involved the color green?
With this, your Aunt started her laughing fit. Her legs kicked out, bicycling in the air. The momentum smashed you into her now-vertical foot. The shoe was flung far away as her toes stretched out, and it it wasn't for your death grip on her heel, you feared the same would happen to you. Her feet continued to swing, this time left and right as her fit started to die down. With less momentum, it was harder to hold on to her white flesh, and before she was still again, you fell off, straight to the ground. You hit the blue carpet and rolled under the couch. From here, you watched as her feet settled back onto the ground, and she continued to watch the movie. It seemed like luck was on your side, since death didn't greet you after such a forceful event.
You took this as a moment to rest. Although you've only been five inches for less than fifteen minutes, it had already drained you of energy. So, you took a nap, not waking up until the following morning. What day is it?
