Misty was swimming in the ocean. She had no memory of how she came to be swimming in the ocean but that didn't seem to bother her. What bothered her was that she could hear voices coming from the dark depths below her. She stopped swimming and listened more closely. She didn't hear anything else but she did felt something grab her foot and she was dragged underwater. She couldn't see who or what was dragging her deeper and deeper. Misty was able to breathe which came as a shock. That's when she noticed her body was beginning to change. She felt gill slits forming on her throat, and her legs had fused together to form a giant fin. She was also gaining in size. By the time she reached the ocean floor, Misty must've been at least 300 feet long.
Misty came to rest besides a huge golden trident that was clearly meant for her. The trident emitted a golden light that was almost blinding. There were runes or mystical symbols on the trident itself that Misty could barely see. The trident was sticking out of a huge boulder. The boulder was nearly as big as Misty was. Misty squinted at the boulder to see an inscription written on the boulder near where the trident was sticking out. The inscription read: I shall return to claim this trident of mine and become the goddess of the sea once more . Reading the inscription made something inside Misty twinge as if she was trying to recall a long-forgotten memory.....
Misty awoke to the smell of breakfast cooking. She awoke gradually and found that her arms were reaching for something that wasn't there. She blinked several times. She remembered the dream she just had vividly.
"Morning, Misty" came Ash's voice.
Ash, Misty and Brock were in a large clearing of the forest. Brock was cooking breakfast and had set up a small table with chairs for three. Ash was sitting at the table sipping at a cup filled with what looked like orange juice. Pikachu was on the table itself, looking just barely awake.
"Breakfast should be ready in five minutes" said Brock.
"Are you alright, Misty?" asked Ash.
"Yeah" said Misty getting up from her sleeping bag. "just had a weird dream"

Two Choices lie ahead
Option 1: Ash, Misty and Brock are on vacation. They go to beach for some fun in the sun when Misty discovers a mysterious trident under the water of the ocean. When she touches the trident, Misty gets transformed into a gigantic mermaid and ends up being the goddess of the sea.
Option 2: The trio are on vacation and go to the beach. Misty gains memories of when she used to be a mermaid long ago. Not only a mermaid but an avatar of the sea goddess, meaning that Misty isn't the sea goddess but wields the power of the sea goddess as long as she holds a trident which lies under the water somewhere. Of course Misty would be a gigantic mermaid in both choices since this is a GTS story. Just how gigantic can be sorted out later.
