Helena had just finished up leading a devotion dedicated to the Goddess. For years she is certain that Ivar has been cheating on her. The other day she found Ivar flirting with the Duchess of Cantleburg. Between Ivar's marital unfaithfulness, Rilian being nowhere to be found, Isabella attempting to elope with any man she lays her eyes on, Ivar abusing poor Edward, Emma secretly planning a Rilian rescue party since Ivar seems not to care about his eldest son, and naughty Prince Anders and his practical jokes Helena has a lot on her mind.
"Once I can catch Ivar in his marital unfaithfulness I'll make sure that he's severely punished. If Rilian was here he would of banished his father. I could get Isabella to divulge all of Ivar's hiding spots since she's rumored to always be found in her perverted actions in those places. Yet Isabella too obsessed with eloping. *sigh* Ivar should have waited until Isabella was ready to get married before insisting that she receive the Godess's blessing." Helena said to herself as her second youngest just entered the royal study.
"Mother! Dad's about to have an innocent dog killed! The royal chefs are preparing to bake the poor thing!"
"Really! No dog is going to die on my watch!"
I'm pretty sure that dog used to be one of Isabella's boyfriend. This could come in handy. I could use him to sniff out Ivar's hiding places. I can than try my husband and lessen his rule over the people. No one would want to follow a king who commits adultery. Heck, even the kids are probably aware of his marital unfaithfulness.
"Thank you dearest mother."
"No, thank you my dear Edward. That dog will help us expose your father of his marital unfaithfulness."
Edward and Helena rush to the royal kitchen. Once they arrive they see a black lab barking and growling at the chefs.
"What's the meaning of this!"
"My Queen. We were just preparing the dog for a foreign dish."
"Not anymore. That dog is not going anywhere. I have something else in mind for him. Something more humane than cooking him."
"What are we supposed to use for the dish then?"
"Use the wolf that Emma killed. Wolves are dogs after all. So my husband wouldn't be able to recognize the difference."
"As you wish my queen."
The lab wags his tail and barks happily. He then follows Helena to her study. Once the two are alone the dog attempts to speak.
"Thank you milady. You have saved my life."
"Think nothing of it, Liam. But since you tried eloping with my daughter you are still going to be punished."
Liam begins to wimper.
"However, I'm willing to hire a wizardess to reverse your affliction if you do me a favor. If you can sniff out where my husband hides his whores than you may have anything you wish."
"Thank you milady. I am forever in your debt."
Liam then runs off so he can sniff out Ivar and his mistresses. With one problem on the verge of being resolved Helena had other matters to attend to.
