Wanna be in the circus, Matthew?

When it comes to being a showman, you got to travel all around the country to perform in front of people. This is where the family own their circus show, and all get to live in caravans during the trip of their trip. One of them is a ten year old boy, named Matthew! He’s the youngster of the family, with one sibling and his parents. Unlike his family is general, Matthew is a little bit too young to be part of a circus act, and he felt okay about it, but also feeling left out, since the rest do perform in front of the audience.

His older sister is 16 years old age, and she does the acrobatics, his mother performs with the lion tricks, and his father is the ringmaster, plus the man in charge of the whole thing. As mentioned, Matthew didn’t mind about it, but he would be stressed of being left out, like a black sheep, and all he could do whilst everyone else performs, is sitting on his bed and playing video games for a while, before get some sleep.

It may be another usual day, but today is even far more different than he normally gets though. Very early in the morning, Matthew was getting changed and was about to head to the shops to get some food for the family. That is when his Dad came over and wanted to meet him as much as he has some very important things to go through.

“Hey son! Do you mind if I can talk to you for a bit?” His Dad wondered with that smile to his face.

“Sure Dad, what is it?” Matthew wondered with a nod and headed to the tent, so they can talk privately.

“You see, I feel bad for you, since you’re a bit young to perform for our circus, but I’ve just recently had a performer taken ill, and I was wondering if you would like to take its place, and see how you get on?” His Dad asked, since he needed someone to fill in its space to get the show going again.

“Really?” Matthew looked surprised with his face been lifted up widely. “You want me to perform in front of the audience?”

“Yes Matthew! I really do! In fact, I’ve got an act just for you to come in as.” His Dad says, as he already found some talent his son could do something with it.

“Well that will be great! But what part am I in?” Matthew asked with wide smile and was curious as to what his Dad has got for him.

I’ll surprise you, my boy! I’ll go and get...
