Less than an inch tall in front of her worst enemy

Taking things back a bit...
---
It had been weeks since Zelda had met Link, and told him of her visions and her plan to stop Ganondof. At first, she was sure he'd be able to help her stop that evil man, but as the days went on Zelda became increasingly worried about Ganondorf's search for the sacred realm, and she wasn't sure that the kokiri boy, Link, would be able to stop him in time. They just needed some time to put a stop to the evil warlock's plans, Zelda thought. She'd tried everything in her power to get Ganondorf thrown out of the castle, but nobody would listen to the young princess, not even her father, the king.

After being dismissed by her father again, Zelda knew that she would have to do something herself. She was searching through the the royal library for a spell book that might help her. Zelda wasn't exactly a grand mage or anything, but she had been trained by some of the best wizards and sorceresses in Hyrule, so she was confident enough in her abilities. The thought that there might not be much time left to save the kingdom hounded her mind, and so she hurriedly looked for a spell powerful enough to give her some more time or an edge in the fight against Ganondorf. After reading through several advanced spell books, Zelda still couldn't find any time-related spells, although she did come across something else, a shrinking spell.

"Shrinks any target down to any size imaginable.." Zelda read the spells description out loud. "Interesting. This could be just what I need!"

Zelda studied the spell for a while. It didn't take long for the princess to memorize the spell, and she tested it out by shrinking a book to less than an inch tall.

"Perfect!" Zelda said happily. She bent down and picked up the tiny book, she examined it between her fingers. It wasn't even as big as her fingernail! "This will be that evil Ganondorf's size soon." She thought, and left the library.

Zelda stormed into Ganondorf's chambers, and found him standing in front of his desk, he didn't even bother to turn around when she barged through the door. The young princess couldn't take his arrogance any longer, she approached the man, making sure to stomp her little legs loudly as she did.

"Ganondorf!" Zelda shouted, pointing her finger at the man.

The dark warlock turned to face her. "Ah, Princess." He said with a tinge of annoyance in his voice. "How can I help you?"

"Hmph! You can leave this castle." Zelda snided.

Ganondorf shook his head and sighed. "I know you don't care for me, Princess. But if I weren't here who would advise your father?"

"You are not here to help, and now I've had enough of your lies, Ganondorf!" Zelda shouted. "If you won't leave of your own free will, then I'm afraid that I must make you leave!"

She than recited the shrinking spell she had just learned. Magic energy began to gather in the air, causing quite a bright, multicolored spectacle.

"What are you doing?!" Ganondorf shouted, he couldn't believe that the princess was capable of using spells as powerful as he was sure this one would be. Instinctively, he began chanting his own spell, a magic barrier, one that would reflect any spell cast on him back onto the user. He finished his chant just in time, the magic struck his body then just as quickly turned around and hit the young princess Zelda instead!

The next few moments were a blur for Zelda, one second she was casting her spell, and the next she found herself looking up at quite possibly the biggest thing she had ever seen. But with her brief disorientation and the sheer size the thing in front of her, it took her moment to realize just what she was looking at, and when she finally did understand what it was, her heart sank. She was looking up at Ganondorf, from her point of view he appeared well over a thousand feet tall to her!

"N-No... NO!" Zelda cried, devastated that her spell had backfired. "How!? H-He was supposed to shrink... Not me!" Then it hit her, Ganondorf must've put some kind of reflective magic barrier at the last second, causing the shrinking spell to effect her instead of him!

Zelda didn't know what to do now that she was so small, she was now wishing she had learned a growth spell, and she couldn't even try the shrinking spell again because of Ganondorf's magic reflecting barrer. Her first thought was to run away though, and she did. Running as fast her tiny feet could carry her she tried to escape the mountain-sized man who she just tried to shrink. She was terrified of his giant form, but she took one look back as she ran and saw...
