Chapter #4

A revealing revelation revealed!

         You cautiously opened the door.
There was no sign of any struggle in the living room. You stopped and listened, able to hear commotion from the kitchen. As you stepped through, you heard some footsteps from above you. You didn't have time to react after realizing they were doing the trick again. You felt some weight land on the back of your head. Due to your accurate prediction you were able to grab him out of your hair before he managed to do any harm.
He quickly reacted, attempting to stab you with a needle. You don't have time for this. You flicked the weapon out of his hand and shoved him head first into your mouth, making sure his arms are stuck by his sides as your lips surrounded him.
You ignored his presence with no intention to swallow him, at least not yet. There's no reason to start on bad terms with the Sect in here. You hugged against the wall, your prey's legs dangling and kicking as you peeked over the side of the arch to the kitchen.
Your fur stood on end. Shieki was on the floor, next to her was a pot, and above a counter was an open cabinet that you presume it fell out of.
In front of Shieki was a yellow furred micen with tan hair. You're sure she's the same one that was trying to convince Kert to attack you. Around her were several micen, a few were on the counters as well. All of them were in black clothes with tin armor, the leader was wearing more fur around her collar that you're sure doesn't belong to her.
You made sure to not draw attention to yourself, but prepared to dive into the room if Shieki's life was in danger.

Serena drew her needle with eyes filled with hatred. Her heart pounded hard in her chest. In front of her was a weakened leona that took so much from her. Her job, her home, and her apprentice. For almost a year she thought about this day, planned every moment. Already it's falling apart with Solace avoiding death. A miscalculation. But now the plans can all go to hell so long as Shieki suffers.
She wanted her to know who killed her. She wished that under different circumstances that she could talk to Shieki. Now? She cannot risk her waking up. She marched closer with the intent to kill.
Suddenly, a blue micen jumped from off the top of her hand and rolled in front of Shieki's face.
Serena recognized Solace's lackey, Thorrow, the moment she saw her. She's awfully brave to charge at her unarmed, but Serna remembered the strength that could hide behind any blows.
Thorrow threw a punch towards Serena, who dipped her head back and grabbed the fist. She dipped under the arm and used the momentum behind Thorrow's attack to twist her arm. Now the girl's arm was stuck behind her back, and Serena kicked hard at the back of her knees. Thorrow cried in pain and her legs gave.
As Thorrow knelt, Serena sheathe her long needle and pulled out a smaller blade. She hold the blade high with the tip pointed down, ready to plunge it over Thorrow's shoulder and into her gut. As she was ready to stab, a strong force pulled her arm back and ripped her grip of Thorrow away. Serena used her free hand to grab the new comer's arms and she flipped him over her shoulder. As the man rolled away in front of Thorrow, Serena pulled out her needle in her off hand and inspected the mouse.
Her eyes and her mouth dropped at the sight of Mango in front of her.
She shook her head, her heart skipped a beat upon seeing the ghost in front of her. She saw him die! But his fur, his hair, his youthful frightened face was all unmistakable. "Mango?"
The orange mouse helped Thorrow up and stepped between her and the cat.
Serena's voice croaked, "Mango, is that you?"
         "Serena..." Mango nodded.
The yellow furred mouse dropped both of her weapons and dashed towards the orange mouse and tackled him. She nearly knocked him over, considering she's taller than him. She held onto him and hugged him tightly like a mother who just swore to protect her only child.
She closed her eyes and took in the moment with a tear of joy, "I thought you were dead! I thought she killed you!"
"It's good to see you too." Mango responded and hugged her back. "What do you think you're doing, Serena? Why were you going to kill my friends? They never hurt anyone."
"I thought..." She took a breath and hugged him tighter, cradling him side-to-side, losing all motivation to attack anyone, "I thought they killed you."
"You have nothing to worry about." Mango patted Serena on the back, "It's okay." Shieki's voice was heard groaning and her eyes squinted hard. "See? It'll all be fine."
"No, it isn't." A new rodent stepped in, hooded and armored with amber glowing eyes. Sitchol. The other micen around him shared the same glare.
