This choice: Rena- Busty And Beautyfull Villainess Extraordinare... • Go Back... Elysian.
The pinnacle city the press called it. One of the greatest human creations of the 23rd century, it was a city the size of Wales that sailed across earths vast ocean and was teaming with incredible technological marvels, created for the purpose of the scientific advancement and the evolution of humanity. Elysian was the brain child of Multimillionaire and business owner Matthew Clay, a massive vessel with a population of 175,000 of the world’s top scientific minds, their families and the massive 2,000,000 strong work force. Rather than being built on a colony world like so many other science outposts, Elysian was made as a massive floating artificial island in the Pacific ocean of earth, both to keep it close to home, and use it as the symbol of Earth’s scientific developments.
While technically a state of America, Elysian is entirely self-ruled and self-reliant. Shaped like a sword and being held inside a massive dome, the city itself consists of three circular layers going outwards on the surface and a single scarcely populated layer layer beneath the other three that remains below the water line. The central and smallest layer is Amoria, right in the middle, where the most powerful businessmen and women live in complete comfort with a constant supply of good foods, fine wines and other rich things. But it doesn't stop there. The buildings here are said to look like they were made for gods. Massive mansions and villas that have been specially made for the owners, colored white and gold to keep the land looking pure with the sky behind it. Along with the homes here are large rolling green plains and calm sunny beaches, all placed on one single disc, kept aloft from the land below by eight truly massive pillars that spring out from the centre, and with the dome stopping around the edge of the layer to give the rich access to the sky. The people here live in harmony, kept comfortable by thousands of robotic servants that cook and clean everything with the help of C.R.O.N.U.S, the master A.I, in charge of all the systems that would be too difficult and costly to be handled by normal people. It is also one of the most secure places on earth, partly because of the powerful guests, but mostly because of sheer amount of secret data, documents and technology that are kept within the walls. This is because along with C.R.O.N.U.S, the Amoria layer contains all of the information gathered in the different fields of Elysian, years of research condensed into a single mass server, located in the absolute heart of the city. The server is a lucrative goldmine for those of ill intent, with the data located in that drive being worth millions to the right people.
The second layer, Eronia, is the business layer, where the less wealthy or important people work for long hours in hundreds of difference scientific fields, each trying to master its own skills until they have complete control and understanding over it. Unlike the first layer, and due to Eronia’s pure focus on work, this layer consists purely of grey factories on the outer circle and giant glass skyscrapers on the inner circle, many of which are actually tall enough to touch the fake sky from the roof. The area is not entirely dedicated to work however. Many building have their own lunch rooms in wide open garden areas with lush grass and trees, and the streets themselves hold many small shops for people to purchase items or order takeout. This is not all that the Eronia layer has in terms of comfort, but the other leisure’s are not worthy of note.
The third layer, Belierin, also has little of note. This is the home sector, where the people of Elysian return to their families after long days of hard labor. This is where the majority of homes are located, kept away from the eyesores such as factories or skyscrapers. Even though this layer is not nearly as important as the others, it is obvious that much time and effort was invested into making it. Almost all the buildings here are the utmost in home life, with the building being spacious, warm and having access on call to any leisure such as film, games, exercise equipment etc. For those with a lower pay grade, Elysian still has millions of lower quality houses that are still well beyond the standard of modern living, and still include many luxuries. Outside of housing, this layer is also dotted with many public sector buildings, such as swimming baths or zoos, and contains many other fun activities such as amusement parks or theaters, places of enjoyment for the many residents.
Apart from these 3 surface layers, there is only one more area worthy of note. Thalasia is the very last layer, underneath all of the fancy surface layers and always below the water line, it is what keeps the vast city afloat through stormy weather or frozen waters, and it suffers for it. Unlike the rest of the city above, Thalasia does not prosper from advanced scientific knowledge or a heavy technological influence. Rather, it is a mess of pipe works and rickety walkways, only meant for occasional visits and not an actual living space. There is no sunlight down there, only red lights that serve only illuminate the grime and not to help you feel at home. The people here are tough, alone, and often here illegally. This layer is the center of almost all crime in the city, and is impossible to purge without irreparable damage to the city above it.
But even though Elysian’s crime is rampant, that is not what the city is known for. And even though the city has technological marvels that surpass even the most fertile imagination, that is not what the city is known for either. Despite attempts from the government to keep it out of spotlight, the Eronia layer does hold one more building that many living in the city would view as by far the most important. A single building known as Anora; Heroes Palace, as some call it. Anora is the most recent addition to the city, a massive Pyramid shaped glass building, placed near the tip of the sword like vessel, connected by vast monorails to all parts of the city. It is here that the Legion of Guardians reside, a publicly funded organisation dedicated to helping the people of Elysian survive against the criminals and villains that reside within the cities walls. But unlike a conventional police force (which they still have), the Legion does not consist of normal men and women. Rather, the people in the Legion are people who go above and beyond. They are the Super Heroes of the city, Champions of Justice and Defenders of the Weak. They are the best of the best, each with their own unique Super Powers and unique abilities, ready to be used whenever they are needed.
And despite what the press might say, they are very much needed.
Because, for all of Elysian’s technological advancement and biological mastery, human nature still tries to erode the foundation of this so called perfect city. Just as a hammer can be used as a tool of creation, it does not take much to take that tool and turn it into a weapon. And this is all too common in Elysian. Since its creation 30 years ago, there have been those who have tried to take Elysian’s hard work and turn it into a tool of profit or revenge.
For every super hero in the city, there is a villain to counter them, someone who wants to turn the city on its head for personal gain. Some are former scientists of the city, angry at how they are treated despite their hard work. Others are crime bosses, dedicated to turning the city into their own personal playground. And some people are just rotten to begin with, hating perfection and wanting nothing more than to tear it all down and make sure it can never start again.
But overtime, this has now become all too common place, and the people no longer bat an eye as the next villain declares he will make Elysian his kingdom, nor when the next hero enters the fray promising to serve the city and protect the city. People have grown passive to the fighting, just as the heroes and villains have become passive to each other, leaving the city all but unprepared for what would happen when one woman decides she has just had enough. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
