Beth and Rena leave Rena's apartment and head outside. "I guess we should go to a doctor and see if this is some kind of disease." Rena suggests. "Yeah," Beth agrees. "Unless its not a disease and its some kind of magical curse." She wiggles her fingers and speaks mysteriously when she says this. Rena chuckles and gives her a playful shove. Unfortunately she doesn't know her new strength and ends up knocking Beth five feet away. "Oh crap! I'm so sorry!" Rena says as she picks Beth up with one hand. "Its fine." Beth says as they walk down the street. While they head to a clinic Rena can feel the other people on the street staring at her. "Look at the bright side. At least you're getting some attention." Beth says. Rena just rolls her eyes and sighs.
When they reach the clinic they are surprised by what they see. There are two other girls there who have symptoms similar to Rena. There is a girl with pure white fur and blond hair who seems to have grown horns as well. The difference is that her horns point off to the sides and curve downwards. The other girl is a calico with black hair. Although she doesn't appear to have horns, she is constantly looking at her teeth in a hand mirror. They look very sharp, like Rena's. "Wow! Looks like this isn't just happening to you!" Beth says amazed. "Yeah..." Rena says. She's a little relieved to know she's not alone, but at the same time she's worried that her symptoms appear to be worse than the other girls. The white girl's horns aren't as long as hers and Rena's teeth are sharper than the calico's. Not to mention the fact that they're both normal sized and Rena is about seven feet tall.
Rena sits down and feels the chair straining to hold her. Again she feels a surge of frustration at her problem. Looking over she can see that the other two girls are pretty tense as well. When the doctor walks out all three of them converge on him. "You've got to help me! Its an emergency!" the white furred girl says. "Me too!" the calico chimes in. "Well look at me! I've got way more issues than them!" Rena says quite forcefully. The doctor's ears droop a little as the three girls ambush him and timidly ushers them into the examination room. He looks over the other two girls first before Rena. As he does so she folds her arms impatiently with a sour look on her face. When he gets to her she takes off her hat and lets her tail sway freely. "Whoa!" the calico exclaims. "Is that gonna happen to me too?" she says looking at Rena's thick tail. Meanwhile the other girl is staring at Rena's longer horns.
The doctor tells them to wait while he goes into another room. In the meantime the girls talk. The white girl's name is Abby and the other is Callie. "This is crazy right?" Abby sighs. "I know!" Callie agrees. "I wake up and see that my teeth are like razors! Although I guess I don't have it as bad as you guys. No offense." She adds the last part when Rena and Abby shoot her angry looks. "But seriously, look at you. I feel for you." Abby tells Rena. Rena sighs. "Thanks. I gotta say though this whole thing is just so frustrating." Callie nods. "I know what you mean. I've been tense all morning." As the three get to know each other the doctor returns. "Okay girls I'm sorry to say I can't really help you. However I've called some specialists who can. Just return to your homes and they'll call you when they arrive." He explains. How does Rena take this?
