"Yo," came the voice of Red X, the self-interested thief. "What's a pretty girl like you doing all the way out her by herself?"
"It does not concern you!" Starfire replied testily. Violent green starbolts lit up her hands, and she snarled. Even as angry as she was with Robin, she saw clearly enough that a criminal like Red X was a more immediate problem, and furthermore one on which she could take out her frustrations.
"That's what you say," replied Red X, dodging easily to one side as Starfire shot off a flurry of starbolts at him. "But I happen to believe otherwise."
He darted forward, ducking under a blast of eyelasers before popping back up right in front of Star and grabbing it. He was smirking behind his mask.
"It's a crime for a pretty young lady to be left alone," he said.
Starfire tensed up, and she gasped quietly, eyes widening. She looked stunned for a moment, but then she quickly regained her angry demeanor.
"I have no idea what you are talking about--!" she started to say, but she was silenced by Red X's finger on her lips.
"Robin didn't tell you about Barbara," he said knowingly, and Starfire was at a loss for what to say.
