Chapter #5Despite All My Rage I'm Still Just A Rat In A Cage by: TheCrimsonFreak You suddenly realize you're floating--and immediately go into panic. There was no ground, you would fall; the floor was a long drop; gravity wasn't working; GRAVITY WASN'T WORKING, WHY WERE YOU FLOATING--
Clank!
The next thing you know, you're face-down on a very solid metal floor. It's a good five minutes before the vertigo subsides and you're able to sit up...and find yourself in a round metal birdcage the size of a small room (at your height of 1 inch, it was probably 10 inches around, give or take) with Celestia looking at you from between the bars with a strange mix of sympathy and impatience.
"Sorry, I guess you're not used to being levitated. Don't worry; the cage is just to keep you safely off the floor. Now, I'll be frank--You aren't the first human Luna has brought here, so I already know what questions you have. I'll save us both some time. My name: Princess Celestia. The pony you saw earlier was Princess Luna, my sister. No, you aren't hallucinating or going insane. Yes, I am real. No; I am NOT an alien who's going to eat you, enslave you, or--ugh--'probe' you. Yes, I am a goddess; No, you have NOT been chosen to be my mortal champion. (And no, my existence does NOT mean your human faiths are untrue.) There, that should cover everything."
Celestia's expression never changed, her voice reeked of boredom and told that she'd had to give that speech more times than she could bare. Seeing the normally regal mare so deadpan was so ridiculous you couldn't resist laughing.
"This has happened before?" you ask, leaning against the cage's bars. "Luna taking humans?" You look around and whistle--from the massive bed decked in white and gold, colorful tapestries the size of buildings (from your scale) hanging off the walls, and luxurious treasures around this giant room, you must be in Celestia's personal chamber. You lean out of the cage and look down to the floor--Celestia was sitting on a plush cushion on the marble floor. You hear the giant mare clear her throat and you look up at her sheepishly.
How long had you been just looking around the room? You smile weakly and wave Celestia on.
"She's done it enough times for the novelty to wear off," Celestia answers with an eyeroll. "I'll confess, I thought it was fun at first, playing with her catches. That 'Cinch' woman was in hysterics; it took her hours to stop squeaking <i>'Giant Demon Horse!'</i>" She chuckles and smirks. You wonder what the alicorns had put Crystal Prep's principal through...
Celestia's smile fell. "But lately? Luna's taken to that spell far too much--almost every day for weeks she's had a new human; it's getting tiresome. I'm going to have words with her about this." She sighed, shaking her head before looking at you, her good mood back. "I apologize for your ordeal, little human. You'll be back on your home world soon; when you return seek out a girl named Sunset Shimmer. She'll explain everything."
Wait. She mentioned Sunset? Celestia must think you were from the "Equestria Girls" world! (It WAS the only "human world" she knew of, so it made sense...)
You tap the cage's bars. "Uh, Princess Celestia? There's something you should know--"
A white hoof comes up and taps your cage, rocking your world and knocking you off your feet. Despite her concerned look Celestia can't help but giggle. "I'm sorry, but it will have to wait. Today will be busy, and I can't sit here and chat...even if you humans make for interesting conversation. There's Luna to deal with, not to mention my schedule--but which to do first?"
How does Celestia proceed? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
