It was beautiful, sunny day today. And also it was a very special day for Brandon and his friends. He, along some of his classmates and friends were selected to go to a small resort on the beach after their school won the opportunity to have its' students go on a small trip. And on top of that, they were also allowed to have their siblings come with them as well. But it wasn't actually a real resort. The students were split into groups of four into small cabins, with a central dining area, with a relatively big patch of sand leading to the sea. So it was actually a sea-view camp rather than a full-on resort. But that didn't seem to mind Brandon and his friends.... Well, most of them....
Brandon, toghether with James, Tyler and Aaron were the first ones to arrive. They were all 9 years old, all from the same class, and they all wore their swim trunks:
blue with with black lines on the sides, dark red, black with white accents , and sea-blue respectively.
"Man, why did they lie that this is a resort? It obviously isn't..."
"Don't be that upset Aaron. It is still a vacation."
"Brandon is right. You just believed that we are going to a resort that Matt told us about. That is only on TV. There is no way that we would go to a tropical resort or anything.", said James.
There was a special chemistry between Brandon and James. There were friends ever since they were just 5, and they grew together, becoming a sort of rivals if you could call them that. Aaron pouted, but accepted James' answer, while Tyler.... was busy playing with a piece of paper.
"Um, Tyler, what is that?"
"Oh... just some magic paper."
"What... do you mean?"
"A few days ago, me, Blake, Eric and Gabe went to this magician's booth we found in town. After he had shown us some tricks, he game us some paper, telling us that if we write our wishes on them, it will come true. We decided to have only two wishes, not to get too confusing, since we had to write down all the wishes on every paper, since it was a common thing. He then gave us some pens with invisible ink to write down what we desire. So what me and Eric wished us... to become ninjas!"
After that, the other three paused and sighed, before Brandon said:
"Aaron, don't take me wrong, but I think you got pranked."
"What do you mean?"
"Come on, it obviously was a trick. Only you and Eric would believe in this sort of thing. I am pretty sure Gabe accepted to play this game not to make you upset and Blake maybe thought of it as just a pass-time."
"And why ninjas of all things?"
"Because they are awesome! They can throw fireballs, create electricity and..."
"You got it wrong! It is not like that Japanese cartoon you told us about. Ninjas are all about.... you know, being stealthy, agile and quick on their feet. They are not superheroes."
"What did Blake and Gabe wish for?"
"They just wished for a great beach trip with a very modern resort-like features."
"Well, at least that sounds a lot more reasonable."
"Hey! When I told Miles about it, he seemed thrilled to become a ninja."
"You told Miles?! Great, the means he will make the same wish like you all did then."
"Why are you so upset? Don't you want to become ninjas?"
"And how is that going to work?"
"Easy. I think I just have to show you all then." Tyler then took the paper and put it in front of the sun. "Make the wish come true now!"
At that moment, a light flashed from the paper and covered the four boys, before fading alongside them. As for the paper, it just burned in the light of the sun.
