Parker Rooney was standing on the floor of the Ridgewood High robotic lab, cleaning out his ears after his most recent invention literally blew up in his face.
He could hear a distinct ringing as smoke from the explosion began to clear, revealing the landscape of the floor tiles to him.
As expected a single floor tile was now large enough to enclose the entire Rooney household on top of, garage, basketball court, and all.
Parker had been experimenting with the concept of shrinking existing matter down to near microscopic size for a variety of reasons.
Storage, transportation, and sneaking around were only some of the uses he could think of for his new invention.
Instead his device short circuited and turned on him, rapidly shrinking him to an inch tall in height within the span of only several seconds as the room expanded around him.
"Well that's just great! Now what do I do?" Parker asked himself, knowing that nobody he knew had his natural talent when it came to dealing with electronics.
Sure Liv and Joey were smart but neither of them had the knowledge necessary to fix a device that Parker was able to create.
He knew that his best hope to get help would be to slip into the halls since this classroom would still be empty during the next two school periods.
Of course being accidentally stepped on by a high school student wasn't a better alternative, but he didn't exactly have a lot of options to choose from.
Eventually a swarm of students would come stomping into the room like a stampede, likely trampling his body into nothing more than a stain on the ground beneath their feet.
With that mental image in mind he ran underneath the large wooden door into the open hallway, traveling alongside the wall like an ant to avoid detection even if someone were to walk by.
Unfortunately this plan didn't work well as he found himself standing in the dark shadow of a giant girl standing over him.

1. His sisters Liv&Maddie. (Liv on her way home and Maddie on her way too basketball practice.)
2. South Salamanca. (In town to visit Liv, but is pleasantly surprised to find her shrunken brother in the halls.)
