Factory Fire

    by: Unknown
Alexander walked down the sidewalk of the city, feeling the sound of snow crunching under the weight of his feet. It was mid-March, when the weather began to warm up slightly. Slightly as in the daily mean temperature was only twenty degrees Fahrenheit, up from an average of four degrees in February. He walked alone along the boulevard, passerby walking past without taking a look at the man. He checked his watch, 9:25.

"The Market should be open soon." He thought to himself, continuing to walk without being disturbed. He took a some time to admire the buildings around him, some classical and made of brick, whilst others were modern and sleek. As neared closer to the market he felt a buzz from his coat pocket. He ran his hand down into his pocket, pulling out his phone, which had buzzed on due to receiving a text notification from an unknown person. Alexander swiped up to look at the text.

"Meet me east of the Farm Stand. I'll be waiting." Bellingham's mind quickly realized who sent the text.

"Barlov. What does he have for me now?" He said quietly. "Another job? He must be getting contracts from a lotta assholes." He put the phone back in his pocket and preceded back to walking. This was usual Barlov. He sends a text with the location of where he and his contact meet. No information is about the contract is send over the text, for that is given face-to-face. This was all to avoid getting the Russians on Barlov's tail more. He was still wanted by the Russian Government and Global Police. Bellingham was now at the entrance of the market, it's door having recently opened and a small crowd of civilians walking into the market.

"East of the Farm Stand." Bellingham whispered. He continually walked in the crowd, doing his best to avoid suspicion. The Farm Stand was in the northern part of the Market, meaning the meeting spot would be in the Northeast, by the restrooms. As he neared closer, there were less people around, mainly small groups of people or just a single person were seen by Alexander past the main area.

"Where is he?" Alexander said. He looked around, nobody in sight. He then decided to walk into the bathrooms, having a feeling in his gut Barlov was in there.

"Hello!" Alexander said loudly. A stall door opened, and out came a regular Russian man, having just finish urinating.

"What do you want?" The man said.

"Oh, nothing, I just thought somebody might be in here. That's all." Alexander said motioning over to the sink to wash his hands. He turned on the sink, and pumped soap out of the soap dispenser. He rubbed his wet hands together as the other man walked out of the restroom.

"That guy must be pretty dirty if he isn't washing his hands." Alexander said. He then turned off the sink and grabbed some paper towels to dry his hands. He threw the paper towels in the trash and proceeded to lean against the sink. A man walked into the restroom, Barlov. He was wearing a tan hat with a white undershirt and tan coast, along with black pants.

"I didn't have to wait that long." Bellingham said.

"Good, I was busy eating some Kimchi from one of the Korean stands. Really good food. Need to go back down there and talk with my friends."

"Yes, yes. Now onto business, please sir?"

"Ah yes. The contract I have for you is simple. There is a factory on the northern end of Khabarovsk that is manufacturing... Flammable and Explosive chemicals, illegal ones of course."

"Uh-huh, and why am I supposed to blow it up?"

"Well, this contract is from the government. They want it gone without their fingerprints. Supposedly it's operated by some Americans or something like that. To get inside, you'd have to schedule an appointment, but that would take time and you wouldn't have full access. The main way I think you'll go is to steal a uniform from an employee, then figure out a way to stop production. You can push a button or blow it up, the government doesn't care."

"And I could always go in guns blazing, right?"

"Yes, but police would be on your tail. And if you blew up the factory you'd have more than your standard patrolman after you." Alexander stood and thought for a moment.

"I'll accept."

"Good. I wish you well Alexander." Barlov reached out his hand and Alexander took charge and shook it with the man. Barlov then left the restroom, leaving Alexander on his own. He walked out of the restroom and towards the entrance. As he walked, he began planning in his head his first move. He decided he'd...
