Chapter #3

Emma the Werebear

    by: Unknown
"Maybe you should work with Emma today. The sports section has been getting a lot of action lately and I think she could use an extra hand. You haven't worked with her since... well, since she almost ate you." You begin to shake but a job was a job. "Okay boss. I've got my camera all ready." You take out your camera and then you fumble it slightly before your hand slips and you accidentally press the button, snapping a flash directly in Lexi's eye. Your sphinx boss screams and bumps into her desk backside first and then knocks her laptop on her head. Lexi growls as she rubs her head and then glares at you as you nervously walk back. "Oops. Looks like I need to put a better hold on this thing." Lexi shows you her fangs and inches closer to you to give you a front row seat to her monstrous teeth. "Mertins," she says. "I suggest you get out of my office as soon as possible, or I might just have to go carnivore."

Not wanting to enrage your boss any further, you run right out the door and have to go find Emma, that polar werebear. You make your way to the cubicle area and spot Emma working at her laptop. She was slouching in her chair to get a closer look given her terrible eyesight and her long jacket as white as her fur was hanging from the side of her cubicle. You see the bottom of the jacket hanging a few feet off the ground and jump up to grab hold of it before you climb up and jump on Emma's desk.

"Emma!" you call out to the werebear giantess. "Emma! Emma!" Emma turns her head and has to try and focus her eyes to try and spot you. "Tim?" she asks. "Is that you?" The gigantic bear woman leans forward and you have to run out of the way before her enormous blubbery breasts crush you and you let out a scream. Emma turns her head and reaches out her claws to pick you up, rather roughly though as you scream as Emma lifts you up and the bear woman places you on her nose. "Oh, there you are Tim." You let out a groan. "Emma, when are you going to get your eyes checked? It wouldn't kill you to wear glasses."

Emma lets out a scoff. "No thanks, I prefer not to look like a librarian." You shake your head. Vain bear. Lexi and Grace don't seem to mind wearing glasses. "So," says Emma as the polar bear goddess puts on her jacket. "Ready to roll. The game will start soon and I've got an article to write. Besides, you could use a little excitement. Two front row tickets here." You laugh nervously as Emma's arctic blue eyes look down at you. Looking at her blonde hair and her all white outfit, you can't help but notice the werebear's resemblance to Emma Frost. That must be where she got her name. But you couldn't think about that. Mazee would get mad.

"So Emma, what kind of game are we going to?"
