As the sirens howled and the people in the city and the surrounding cities received their county wide emergency order, the military scrambled jets from every base there was.
Just the act of them growing destroyed more of a neighbou
rhood then a whole earthquake did on this coastal city... Needless to say, their steps were beyond that.
As the first jets arrived, they immediately turned back around knowing they alone would do nothing. Instead the commanding Major ordered them to return and the guard battalions to mobilize.
The giants caused untold damage in the time the general was informed, he ordered the missing of artillery and rocket systems on the outer edge of the city.
Satellites above tracked the gods as they gave out their joyful wrath. Estimating the dead, not bothering to estimate the damage.
Only an hour later did the first units begin to fire, a wave of rockets, armor piercing rounds, bullets, high explosive rounds and cruise missiles all fired at once.
Their trails getting smaller and smaller as they approached the giants, the cheers of the soldiers firming them quickly quieting.
