"this can't be good..." Chez mutters as he gazes up at the familiar giant doe sitting before the tray. While Dawn was always seen as one of the few friendly faces to Chez, he had absolutely no idea how she would react to him alone...let alone if she would even take notice. "Since Meg's busy at a meeting, I guess I minus will eat to get my mind off of being alone." She says to herself in a soft tone. With Meg and Dawn always being seen together, it was extremely odd seeing Dawn all alone by herself in several occasions. Almost like a fish out of water. With a deep breath, Chez soon makes his way out from behind the milk container before waving his hands up in the air. "Dawn! by the milk!" he shouts as the Doe girls eyes soon lock on to the mouseboy's tiny form. "Chez?" Dawn stammers completely dumbfounded by Chez's sudden appearance. "How did you get on my plate?" She asks with a cocked head with a matching confused expression. "Well, I was on this tray before you started getting your food." Chez begins to explain. "Oh!....I'm sorry." Dawn stammers with an ashamed expression on her face. "I didn't see you there." she adds. 'You and a lot of others.' Chez thinks to himself.
"Well, what are you doing in the cafeteria?" Dawn asks. "shouldn't you be heading to class or a meeting or something like that?" she adds. "err, well, I ended up getting caught up in the hallway during the bell, so I ended up getting pushed in here." Chez explains, though pushing was a complete understatement. "I was about to go get some breakfast, but...it sounds like the halls are starting to die down a bit." Chez says noticing the chatter and footsteps outside starting to lower. "Oh." Dawn stammers while continuing to gaze down at him with her large innocent eyes "Well. you could always share breakfast with me." She offers with a small smile. "Huh?" Chez stammers gazing up at Dawn dumbfounded. "n-no, I mean it's your breakfast and I don't want to seem like some little leech or something." he tries to reason only to receive a head shake from above. "you're not a leech silly, you're a mouse." Dawn giggles. 'errr...it was metaphorical.' Chez thought confused by the reply. "And I'm fine with you sharing." Dawn continues. "I mean, I have plenty of food for both of us to share."
Just as Chez was about to retort once more, a small growl emanating from his stomach tells him otherwise. With a small sigh and mustered smile, he finally nods his head up at Dawn. "Alright Dawn, thanks." Chez says as Dawn gives a nod and wide smile. "It's alright Chez, now go ahead and start munching." the doe girl insists. With a nod, Chez slowly makes his way towards the giant fruit bowl before plucking out a large blueberry. Wit little hesitation he begins to munch away on the delectable fruit only to receive a giggle from Dawn. "Awww! just look at you eat~" she coos as if entranced by the sight of him eating. A shade of red begins to ensue Chez's face as he gulps down the chewed up blueberry. "Uhh...Aren't you going to eat Dawn?" Chez stammers still abashed from the look she was giving him. "Of course." She nods her head before gently plucking up a packet of syrup. From the tray, Chez watches as Dawn was attempting to rip a section on the upper part of the packet. As she was attempting to do so however, Chez quickly takes notice of her fingers pressing down upon the bottom section of the packet. "D-Dawn, try loosening up your grip on the bottom. or else it will-" As expected, once a small portion of the top was ripped off, a glob of syrup soon ends up shooting out and straight into Dawn's glasses. "Oh no!" she shouts before quickly taking off her glasses and attempting to wipe the sticky goop with a paper towel.
"You alright Dawn?" Chez quickly asks noticing her wiping her glasses. "I-I'm fine." she replies in a stammered tone. "Just got some syrup on my glasses is all." After a bit more wiping, she soon raises the spectacles up only to have some smeared syrup on the rims and lenses. "Errr...can you still see through them." Chez asks with a concerned brow raise. "Of course." Dawn replies with a nod as she slowly lowers her hand in an attempt to reach her fork. "Luckily I'm fine with my pancakes without syrup." she giggles before finally reaching her hand down on the tray, only to miss the fork by a few inches. A small sense of dread begins to fill Chez's mind realizing just how bad her vision was. After a small slide of her hand, Dawn soon lifts up the fork with a victorious smile on her face. "See? no problem." she states almost proudly. "if you say so..." Chez mutters under his breath as he continues to gaze up at the massive doe girl. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
