Thinking on it, it was a more than reasonable request, but Minako had her own plans for the next week once they reached the next checkpoint. Possible blackmailing and corruption of intent aside, if Yukari convinced her to take the night off, then they would have to climb Tartarus some other time, but if complications arose and made this all take longer and, god forbid, she herself got sick later, it would throw her other plans all out of balance! Managing Social Links, classes, and Tartarus all at once was not easy. Yukari only needed to worry about one of those, while Minako had to manage all three at one time! Really, persevering for one extra night wasn't that much to ask of anyone.
"Yukari," Minako said, with an edge to her voice. "I understand you're not feeling well, but you have abilities none of the rest of the team has. We need you there. I can let you rest on the sidelines until we absolutely need you. It's the same as-"
"The same!? Bullshit!" Yukari screamed. "Even thinking of comparing my soft, warm bed to that freaky, horrible tower... there's something seriously wrong with you!"
"We're going, Yukari, and that's final," Minako said with utmost seriousness.
"Fine then," Yukari said, "If we're going, I'll just bring everyone up here for a nice little chat with our leader, who's naturally already prepared and not shivering, helpless and naked in the bathroom, all thanks to having lost her towel. Oh wait, that's exactly what's happening right now. I wonder what Mitsuru-senpai would think, seeing our Leader like this?" she asked, smirking venomously and turning towards the stairs.
"Yeah, I can't say that she'd be very pleased with you," Minako answered.
Yukari paused. "Me? Uh, you're the one who's, well, out of uniform right now, in case you forgot," she said.
"Perhaps," Minako replied. "But once I tell her everything and she learns that you stole my towel and trapped me here all because you couldn't handle being on standby for an hour at most, how do you think Mitsuru would react to that?"
"Ghh!" Yukari grimaced.
"Sure, I'm naked right now, and yeah, it'll be embarrassing getting seen like this by everybody, e-especially by the guys," Minako stammered a little, blushing. "But Mitsuru's not an idiot, Yukari. No matter what lie you tell at first, it won't take long before she realizes what really happened. So just stop this nonsense now, please?"
Yukari stood still, her fists balled up at her sides. Soon, she started to shake, and began to growl, "Erg... grr... ARGH!" Whirling around, she charged to the door and threw it open, almost smashing into Minako in the process.
"Ah!" Minako gasped, too startled to react.
"If I can't get you to call it off, I'll have you sleep it off!" Yukari roared, grabbing Minako's shoulders and pushing her back towards the showers. "Minako? Oh, she had a little spill during her usual shower and won't wake up for the rest of the Dark Hour, at least."
Minako struggled and planted her feet, stopping Yukari's advance right in front of the stall. "Yukari, you're crazy!" she grunted, grabbing at Yukari's sweater collar and turning the situation into a test of strength.
"No, I'm sick!" Yukari yelled. "I need some TLC time to get better, and you're just being, oof, stubborn. Just let it happen, it'll only be a minor concussion, I promise!"
"Get off!" Minako shouted back. Minako couldn't believe what was happening. Fighting against her close comrade was something she never thought she'd be doing, let alone being wet and naked while doing it! But now wasn't the time for thoughts, it was the time for action, and she began to focus solely on the battle. First things first, she needed to get out of the bathroom. She was wet, and the floor was also wet, meaning she could slip and fall at any moment. And with Yukari in a blind rage right now, it was not an ideal battleground. The hallway outside, however, had dry carpet and was more spacious, which would make a much better fighting arena. It would all hinge on who won this first struggle...
