Billy's growth spurt

The next morning was Saturday, which meant that you and Billy could drive to the park and hang out all day long! You jumped out of bed and started to wake up Billy like usual. This time, something was off.
"Big brother wake up its Saturday!" you said shaking him. He already had the sheets pulled up over his head, so you couldn't see him at all.
"Ugh stop calling me that. Give me ten more minutes" he moaned.
"Nope! Time to get up!" you said pulling the sheets off of him. You couldn't help but think something looked different about Billy. He almost looked to have gained five pounds of muscle over night! He wasn't muscular by any means. But his bones were less pronounced and his boxers were a little less loose on him.
"Come on Jake!" Billy whined rolling over in his bed. You couldn't help but smile. You scooped him up like you always do and thought he really didn't feel any different.
"Time to wake up big bro!" you said rocking him. You knew that would wake him up; Billy especially hated that.
"Fine I'm up!" Billy said hitting your rock hard pecs. "Put me down now please." You set him down and looked down at him. You took a second look. Something was definitely different. It looked like his bulge and feet were slightly bigger than yesterday too. "I'll go get dressed and we can go to the park." Billy said going to the bathroom. You shook it off thinking it was nothing and got dressed in a muscle shirt and basketball shorts before going downstairs. Both of your parents had already left for work so you started scrambling some eggs. You probably made a dozen eggs and drank your protein shake before Billy came in. His clothes were definitely not as loose as they were yesterday! He sat down and shoveled half the eggs you made onto a plate and poured a big glass of milk. He never ate this much!
"Slow down there big bro. You're going to make yourself sick eating that much!" You said shoveling the rest of the eggs onto your plate and poured your own glass of milk.
"I don't know why but I'm super hungry this morning Jake." Billy said with a mouthful of eggs. Before you knew it you had both finished the eggs and a whole gallon of milk! "Alright you ready to go?" Billy said standing up stretching. When he did, you thought he looked taller than normal.
"Yeah let's go ahead and go." you said shaking your head. You thought maybe you were imagining things. That day at the park. The two of you threw a baseball back and forth for a couple hours. Usually Billy wasn't that into sports, so you were surprised he hung in there that long. He wasn't as good as you were but he wasn't terrible. Billy surprised you again when he said he was hungry. You decided to head over to a burger place nearby- Billy said he'd pay. You got a double cheeseburger, a side of fries, and a chocolate shake.
"I'll have the same thing." Billy said pulling out his wallet. Your mouth dropped.
"Are you sure you can eat that much?" you asked.
"I'm telling you I'm really hungry Jake!" he said. When the waitress brought out the food, she smiled at you and you winked at her. Billy shook his head and started chowing down on his burger. He finished his about the same time you finished yours! He drank most of his milkshake and about half of his fries- you ate all of your meal and finished his. "I'm stuffed!" he said patting his belly. You thought it strange he ate that much especially after such a big breakfast. "Ready to go play some football?" he asked you.
"Football?" you repeated. You felt your eyes get big. "I didn't think you liked football? And do you think you can run around after eating so much?"
Billy smiled and stood up. You thought you saw a small food belly under his shirt. "Football isn't bad. Besides I know you like it so lets go!" He said. You smiled and walked out with him putting your arm around his shoulder. You threw the football back and forth until it started to get dark. You would take turn running routes and throwing passes. A few times you tackled him and either carried him on your shoulder or wrestled him on the ground laughing. The two of you hadn't played like that in years! Billy actually seemed to be enjoying himself. That's when you heard his stomach growl.
"Time for dinner!" he said. "Race you to the jeep!" He took off running. You easily beat him with your longer and more powerful legs. Both of your parents were home setting the table. You gave them each a hug before making a protein shake. Billy gave them a hug and told them all about the park. Your parents were excited he is starting to like sports!
Your mom had made spaghetti and meatballs. She put the big bowl in the middle of the plate along with a salad bowl and a plate of garlic bread. Billy piled a lot of each on his plate and dug in. You followed suit eating enough for two people. Usually when your mom made spaghetti, there was a lot left over. Tonight, however, Billy ate almost as much as you finishing off the bowl! You both helped clean up dishes and went upstairs to play Xbox before going to bed. You both stripped off your shirts again and starting playing. You looked over at him and noticed he had a little belly!
"Big bro! What's going on with you today?" you asked pointing at his stomach. "You never eat this much and you're never this into sports!"
Billy patted his hard belly and said, "I don't know Jake. I just woke up feeling great and really hungry! I had a lot of fun though. We should do it more often!"
"Yeah me too." you said back patting him on the back with your bigger hand. You decided to let it go for now. As long as he was happy and the two of you were having fun you didn't care. You thought maybe he was just going through his growth spurt. You smiled and knew that would make him happy.
