"Baa, I'm so bored! We've been walking for hours can we please take a break and do something?!" Complained Drake as he and his companions walked down a dirt path.
The party leader Ray looked up from his map and looked at Drake. "No, were about a mile away from the next town and we're not stopping until we get there so keep walking!."
"Yeah! I can go all day! Nothing's going to slow me down until we get to the-" Becky froze in her tracks. "That sound, I know that sound any where, that's the sound of flowing water!"
"What? No it can't be, theirs no water on this path. You must be imagining it." Ray replied.
"Why would I imagine water? I hate it!" Becky yelled.
After a half a hour of walking Ray's party had progressed farther down their path, to find that Becky was right.
"Well that's a big ass river." Drake said with a smug look on his face.
"You will not use such obscene language in the presence of my sister," Hal said as he drew quickly unsheathed his katana, then let slid it back in as a piece of Drake's shirt sleeve fell to the ground. "Or next time you won't get off with just a warning."
"Can we please focus on how the water found me?!" Asked Becky with a worry filled voice.
"It didn't find you, the map says that sometimes this path floods during the rainy season...and the town up ahead becomes unreachable." Ray said as he looked over the map again.
Becky crossed her arms and pouted. "I don't care how it got their, I'm not crossing it!"
"We don't have a choice, it's either cross the river or we walk back to the last town, which we won't reach by night fall and we'll have to set up a camp."
"Actually, I saw another path about ten minutes ago, it led back to a old house that looked abandoned, we could stay their until the water goes away." Gina said, speaking for the first time in a while.
What will Ray's party do, and what will happen?
They try to cross the river and get to the next town, but after arriving they sense something is wrong.
They head back to the last town and have to set up a camp for the night, and someone goes missing and the rest of the party has to go looking for them.
They make their way to the old house to find that it's abandoned...or at least looks that way.
