Choice 1:
A few million years into the future. 95% of humanity lives in a Dyson Sphere surrounding the sun. Retroviral genetic engineering is near instantaneous and commonplace in order to allow humans to survive on and move between different sections of the sphere. Enough of the Sun's energy has been siphoned off to avert its expansion into a red giant, and a vast fleet of ships is being constructed in order to discover the fates of the long-lost colonies of the First Terran Empire.
Choice 2:
A few hundred years in the future. Both Mars and the Moon colonized, as well as a few other minor celestial bodies. Humanity in a state of near-complete submission to uplifted animals, who by this point resemble hybrids of humans and their original species - almost exactly the same as the 'Furries' the OldNet seemed to be obsessed with. Uplifted animals are usually vastly physically superior to humans, being on average 7-8 feet tall, in addition to being smarter than the average human due to the uplifting process. Humans are kept as beloved and cute, if rather belligerent pets. The uplifted see nothing wrong with changing their bodies or the bodies of their pets, and do so very regularly in order to find preferred forms.
Choice 3:
A couple thousand years into the future. A vast, alien intelligence with incomprehensible morals and near-infinite power lays hidden among the stars, studying humanity due to their status as sapient life-forms - something that the intelligence has not found before, except in itself. In order to study human responses to both high stress levels and epidemics with unknown sources and no possible cures, the intelligence introduces a virus into dozens of cities of the Lunar Republic and disables all long-range communications and travel with other celestial bodies. It is only a matter of time until ever ycitizen of Luna is changed - but into what?
Choice 4:
A few dozen decades in the future. All must be clean! All must be purged!
Such is the rallying cry of the East-West Directorate. Any human not of the baseline - that is, anyone augmented cybernetically or biologically, or even changed into a new form entirely - is an abomination and an aberration undeserving of life on Earth, and must be either put down or forcibly removed from Sacred Terra. The Directorate conducts regular purges upon its population, seeking to weed out anyone not fully human; it also conducts regular military incursions against less powerful nations, seeking to absorb them into itself. However, there are still pockets of resistance in the old cities of Pan-Europa, and a fledgling resistance movement operating in both Neo-America and Brittanica, but their successes have been limited, even with their expertise in stealth and sabotage, and it may be only a matter of time before they are all destroyed in another violent purge.
