The person coming up to the tower Flinzi was standing outside of was a tall man in a suit of armor, covered completely from head to toe - even his face was obscured by his helmet. The only reason Flinzi knew that the guard was a man was because of his voice.
"Ms. Flotberkle!" the man shouted. Flinzi just stood in place, crossed her arms and replied with a sigh, "Yes, Mr. Guardsman, sir?" The guard responded, "Ms. Flotberkle, you are aware that this is in fact the third time you have caused collateral damage in just this month, yes?" Flinzi rolled her eyes, thinking back to the oven that had blown up not too long ago - it was not the first time this had occurred, and she knew that. "Ms. Flotberkle!" the man shouted once more, eager for a response from Flinzi. Exasperated, she replied, "YES, I am well aware, dude! Every time this stuff happens, you guys come and yell at me for how bad I've screwed up!"
"Yes, but that was before," the guard remarked while shaking his head back and forth. "The crown only gave you slaps on the wrist because of your promise to deliver a sound product that could sold on the marketplace - you have failed to provide such a product in the time given allotted, and now you must be reprimanded. Especially after your repeated instances of endangerment to the citizens."
"Alright, I may have gotten a teeny-tiny bit carried away," Flinzi snarked. "But, it's paid off this time - I have just completed a recipe for a brand new meal, just as I said I would!" The guard paused before he stated, "Then let us see it, Ms. Flotberkle - if you follow me back to the castle, you can present your recipe to the king and queen, and show them the fruits of your labor. They may even forgive your reckless abandon if you are polite."
"You got it!" Flinzi said as she made her back to her stone tower. Once she grabbed her rolled up piece of recipe paper, she stopped and considered the offer.
Wait, she thought. What if they just take credit for my idea? What if they try and sell the C.H.A.S.M. themselves and I don't see so much as a copper coin?! Maybe... Maybe I can just take this recipe and go start my own business elsewhere, away from this town! Would it be worth the risk - if I do that, this guy's probably gonna chase me if I do...
