Ken watches in shock as his sister grows even more going to well over five hundred feet tall and still rapidly growing. By the time Kelly released the button, Ken is even smaller than a centimeter tall, he can't even comprehend his height as Kelly's enormous toes in front of him are now the size of houses. Craning his head all the way back, Ken looks up Kelly's legs that shoot up high in the distance as the girl quickly stops using the remote and puts a hand to her mouth.
"Oops, was that too much?" Kelly's loud ominous voice echoes through the air.
Ken's heart is racing. He can't believe he made this decision. His once petite, youngest sister is now absolutely ginormous and could kill him without any effort whatsoever. Even the dolls in her room laying in the distance would be giants if put next to him. Ken starts to back up and then he turns and runs.
Kelly watches her ant sized brother run away from her and can't help but giggle. She notices how slow he is compared to bugs his size as he keeps tripping and stumbling on the carpet strands. Kelly wants Ken to stop running from her and trust her, after all he must be terrified being so small.
A shadow forms over Ken's body and he looks up to see Kelly's massive sole engulfing the sky to make an inescapable ceiling.
"No!" Ken cries as the sole goes down and pushes against his back.
Ken is matted down between the soft, cold sole and the thick carpet strands and covered in darkness. A slight musky smell fills the air but it isn't unpleasant as much as humiliating. Ken at first squirms and struggles to break free as the pressure increases but then goes limp as he accepts he is going to be crushed like a bug but the pressure stops suddenly.
Light fills Ken's eyes and he watches as Kelly removes her sole and crouches down near Ken. "Don't be scared! I'm not going to hurt you." Kelly assures Ken as she reaches one of her pudgy fingers collides against Ken's back. She is trying to pat his back to calm him but is actually battering his body with the fingertip. Ken rises up and Kelly finally stops. Gasping for air, he looks up with a calmer mind than earlier at his sister. He just wants to get these results recorded so he can grow back.
"Kelly! Can you hear me?" Ken calls up.
"Yeah, but just barely, your voice sounds squeaky and far away", Kelly giggles as she turns her head to have her ear facing you.
"I need you to get to your book bag and grab a pencil and paper to write about my shrinking!" Ken yells louder so she can hear.
"Okay!"
The girl quickly stands up to full height that looking up at her almost causes whiplash to Ken and then she runs to the other side of the bedroom, seemingly a mile away to Ken, in just seconds. The running footsteps cause air and dust to blow towards Ken and almost makes him lose balance especially when her feet collide with the ground and cause the ground to shake like an earthquake. Kelly bends down at her book bag and shuffles through some things before standing back up and running back but as she gets closer she thankfully slows to a walk. Ken looks up at her face but realizes that Kelly isn't looking back at him, she is scanning the floor while searching for where she thinks he was. Unfortunately she is still walking while doing this and her massive foot is heading right for him!
"Kelly! Stop!" Ken cries out but Kelly keeps going.
With a thunderous boom Kelly's foot lands right in front of him, her toes literally a few (of his proportion) feet from crushing his body. Kelly stands still and searches until she looks straight down and sees Ken.
"Oh, there you are! You should be careful where you're standing, I could've squished you." Kelly genuinely warns.
Ken wants to protest back but decides it's not worth it. He just wants this documented and then to grow back now. Ken tells Kelly everything about the feeling of shrinking, what things look like, and the emotional effects of it. He hopes Kelly is writing it down the best her nine year old literary skills can do but he can surely fix any mistakes when he grows back. After the last thing is written, Ken lets out a sigh of relief.
"Wow, that was a lot of writing. I feel like I just did homework", Kelly complains as she rises up showing you the paper. The words are so big that it's hard for him to comprehend what is on the paper but it looks legit.
"Alright now please get the growth device out that box."
Kelly goes through the nearby box while Ken patiently waits but Kelly keeps looking the box for a while now.
"Kelly?" Ken calls out to her wondering what's taking so long but she is too far away for him.
Finally Kelly scoots back towards Ken empty-handed.
"Um, there isn't a growth device in there", the giant girl says.
"W-what!? That's impossible!" Ken yells up in a rage.
"I'm not lying! There isn't one in there!" Kelly raises her voice which makes Ken tone his down.
"What do we do?" Kelly asks, "Should we tell mom?"
Ken's stomach drops. He does not want his mom to find out. She would've never approved of him shrinking like this even if it was for a scholarship. He would be grounded for his whole senior year after this mess gets sorted out. Ken wanted to try everything to avoid that scenario first.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
