You put on the special helmet that was connected to the Virtual Reality machine. Only, as you entered the Virtual Reality world, you realized that you forgot to specify what program to load. You realized your mistake only after activating the machine and immediately felt very strange. A sensation of suddenly moving very fast struck your body. You felt dizzy and disoriented as the world around you seemed to spin wildly before it suddenly stopped. Startled, you instinctively pulled off the Virtual Reality helmet and looked around.
What you saw startled you more as everything was different from what you remembered. It was then you heard a television in the next room relaying an emergency message from the local news center. "This just in; hundreds of people are reporting falling through that had been dubbed a virtual reality rift." Serious, the news anchor reported. "The powerful virtual reality programs have breached a threshold to a universe parallel to our own with its own virtual reality technology."
This news startled you as everything round you was of a different texture and color from the home you woke up in this morning. You remained silent, listening as the news anchor continued to speak.
"For those who had fallen through to this side, you have limited time to find a way back as measures are being made here to close the rift before two realities become one."
