Sora and Kari were so busy feeding TK and Matt that they did not notice Tai wriggle out of his bonds and escape. Tai ran into the surrounding woods as fast as his skinny legs could carry him. In retrospect, it was probably a bit cruel of him to ditch his friends, but he didn't care in the heat of the moment.

Tai didn't know what happened to Sora and Kari to change their behavior so drastically or where the other kids and the Digimon were. He was determined to find out. But what would he do first?
