Chapter #6

Reason with the cadet.

"I have no intention to be shot." You state while slowly turning to the shark. He stops talking after a couple of seconds.

"Stay right there. You are under arrest-- or whatever Deluma said." The anthro responds. Does he know what he's talking about? He probably doesn't get why you need to be captured. Many anthros stop to look at this rather sudden scene.

"Do you even know what Deluma wants me for? Because I don't." You point out. He keeps his gun pointed at you.

"Uh... for running from the police-- yeah, that's it!" The young officer said. You shake your head.

"That's a good point, but that's not what I'm getting at." You retort. This guy doesn't even know what he is doing, does he. "Come on, you're not that stupid." You grunt.

"Hey!" The officer responds, taken aback by the comment. Now you don't know how to get to the other human. Different anthros have covered the entrance to the alleyway. Those bystanders may not be the officers, but they sure are tall enough to discourage you from accomplishing your goal.

"Come on! I don't want to go into a lab! What do you think they'll do to me in this 'SD Labs' of yours?!" You yell. You're very angry considering the amount of acrobatic skill you'd shown back near those other buildings that stand at your right. Many faces swing back and forth between you and the officer. The officer looks around nervously, debating something. "Please don't-- I don't belong here." You continue. That's right, wherever you are, you did not belong there. The officer keeps his hand steady. A couple of bystanders step forward and into the street. You look around. Maybe they can help me?

"Hey officer." Someone says. The officer looks over to see a strong looking bear anthro. He looks into the shark anthro's eyes.

"Back off, this is a police matter." The officer states. From the other side, a fox anthro speaks up.

"Are you even an officer?" The fox states. You see the officer breaking. If he is as new to the police as you believe, then he must be getting nervous thanks to the public.

"Yes-- back down." The officer states. You move backwards a bit. "Hey! Don't move or I'll shoot!" He yells. That escalated quickly... You stop.

"Don't shoot it!" An unidentifiable anthro shouts. Soon, multiple anthros are on your side. They start crowding the police officer as he protests and yells at them to back off and 'it's a police matter'. There is a ton of yelling. Two police vehicles clear around the corner behind the crowd. One is a large police van, and another is just a car. Police step out of the vehicle. You swear you could see Luna, but you don't take any chances and start bolting down the street, yelling 'Thanks!' and 'Thank you(s)' to anyone who could hear. Even though some anthros came to your defense, some still sided with the shark policeman. Many different anthros try to grab you as you elegantly duck and dive under and around them. This all leads into a fight that breaks out. Some police manage to escape the lock of the crowd and give chase.

You are small, but you run fast thanks to your gymnastic abilities. Quite literally you'd do flips to avoid some still-in-motion cars. There are many ways to get away... you must choose quick! While running down the street, you see to your left that there's an incline and beyond that is a large vehicle. Wait?! There's another human on there! But you can't exactly get to that human at the moment, but they're on the back of a truck-- presumably catching a ride. There's another large vehicle behind it, but with the different logos and such, you could tell it won't go in the same direction as that other human. You can climb on some conveniently jagged walls to leap onto it... but to your right there's another way to get out of your situation. To your right is another large street, crowded with more cars and unaware anthros who are going about their business. They must not know what was going on around the corner. Do you continue running to your right? Or do you try to get onto the bus behind the other human.

Left! (You will have to do some hardcore parkour, but you'll get away.)
OR
Right! (The street looks to give a cleaner getaway, but you'll have to keep running for a bit.)

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Left!

2. Right!

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
