"What did you just say?" You reply, not answering the question. You fix your hair and glare at this... Mayor. You don't raise your hand to shake hers. Did she just call me property?
"What do you mean?" Deluma responds, she looks quite presumptuous. She pulls her hand back and her tails start flicking less than naturally. "Oh, are you talking about my owning of you?" She finishes. While tall, she definitely has the upper hand in dominance.
"Wh-" You start. Feeling flabbergasted, "Excuse you?! You don't own me!" Luna looks at you with shock. Maybe this Deluma person is not what you expect. But, you don't know what to expect in the first place, because you're somewhere you don't know.
"Oh, that's where you're wrong. You're very, annoying. You'll learn to behave eventually." Deluma states as if it's fact. She steps closer, looking you up and down, and if Deluma wasn't a lady, you'd almost feel violated with the way she was watching you. You step back. Oh, you ain't gonna touch me, 'Mayor Deluma'. You think. She starts to talk again, while walking forward. You continue to walk back. "I won't say it again, what is your name?" She says, with violence in her tone.
You debate on telling her. I'm Tera Westfield. You look to Luna for help, she looks back, and neither of you know what to do. Luna's squad just watches you and Deluma, also not knowing what to do.
"Stop moving. I want to see you." Deluma says angrily. Her cold glances toward the squad tell them to do something. You want to run, but her presence just captivates you in a scary way.
"No! Don't touch me!" You yell, you are not gonna let her do anything to you. Luna steps toward your direction. Deluma's tails are whipping behind her so fast you think she can cut something if she wanted to.
"Mayor Deluma!" Luna speaks up. Deluma looks back at Luna, expecting for her to say something.
"Well?" Deluma says, trying to calm her tone as she does not want to make a public scene.
"This is a police matter. We have to take her into custody." Luna starts. "We have a job to finish, Mayor."
"Not anymore. Humans are not anthros. Mythical, if you ask anyone. Humans should be put in labs and studied." Deluma commands.
"I can tell you about humans all without you or anyone experimenting on me, thank you! That is rude!" You exclaim. Deluma flashes you a dark face, while Luna glances at you with shock. You catch Luna's face and realize you may have said something wrong, as you look towards Deluma and start worrying.
"Take her to SD labs, now Luna Barker! Your job is on the line." Deluma says, gritting her teeth. Luna protests, but she eventually submits and
commands her officers to arrest you.
Moments later, you are forced into the back of the police car with Luna right behind you. You want to run so badly, you don't comply. You attempt to fix your hair, but you know your hands are cuffed, and now you have a ton of loose hairs messing with your eyelashes. At least Luna isn't so bad... in fact she was fascinated by you. Her huge paw covers your left shoulder, beckoning you to get into the back of the police van. You can tell she's uncomfortable as she constantly shifts around. Suddenly, you're pulled in front of her, and your mouth is covered by her right paw. You give a muffled scream, but you're forced to look up into the face of Luna, who is trying to shush you. Luna takes one more glance around, no one is looking, not even Deluma, who's distracted by two other officers who are bending to her needs. Luna looks down into your frightened eyes.
"Shh! Be quiet, ok? Listen closely if you want to get away..." Luna whispers, her wolf-like face bent over to tell you something. Now that you have a good look at her face, she actually looks cute, like a real wolf. Realizing she is not up to anything bad, you calm down. She takes her paw off of your mouth. "I can't tell you everything, but for now, I'm going to unlock your handcuffs, when I do, start running down that left alleyway. I'll fake a scene for you to get away." She finishes, while unlocking your cuffs. You nod, getting ready to run. Wait... The cuffs unlock. She pushes you away, almost tripping you with the sheer amount of anthro strength versus your own human body. You start running, quietly.
"Officers!" Luna shouts after about 5 seconds, giving you a head start. Deluma spins around, looking at Luna, then... to you. "The human i-"
"Get that human!!!" Deluma orders, pushing the four unaware officers with her tails towards you. They look around then look to you, realizing that you probably got away. 3 of them start running to grab you, Luna follows as well. Luna is attempting to keep up the act. She does a good job, as even Deluma is convinced. The last officer left is stunned, obviously he must be a new officer. The shark-like anthro shuffles at his belt as you're about to head down the left alleyway. You are very fast for a human, making do with the 5 - 6 seconds Luna generously gave you. Running by through the alleyways, you can't help but feel that even the trash cans are a bit overwhelming.
Deluma is furious, making fists with her hands and slamming the car door as she gets in. Deluma rolls down the window, and shouts to the last officer left. The shark-like anthro pulls out a pistol-looking thing out of his belt.
"Shoot it if you have to, but just get it into the lab!" She yells. The officer jumps at her tone, putting a hand against his heart like he just had a jump scare. He looks down at his pistol, he has an excellent grip on it.
"But ma'am, I- I don't want to hurt a creature so rare! I mean, do you even know what would hap--!"
"Your job is on the line, cadet, now get moving!!" She shouts, rolling the window up again. He opened his mouth to protest, but eventually he runs towards where he saw the others run. He stops for a second, considering his options.
"The human went down Zolpa street, target is continuing to climb the building at Zopla and Barko street." The radio on his vest says. He jumps again, but this time, into action.
-----------------------------------
You jump off the top of the trashcan, and grab onto the bottom rung of the apartment ladder. The 3 officers and Luna were unable to get you. They easily grab onto the ladder and start chasing. Luckily, regardless of being in a completely different... universe, you know that the buildings around the area look very familiar. Looking down, the anthros are just under you. You won't be able to get to the top in time. So you look across the way. Another ladder, far. You keep looking down and across, debating on taking the jump. Luna sees what you're doing, and tries to tell you to stop, but you already took the jump. The other 3 officers look in awe as you jump across. Thanks to your amazing gymnast background, the jump was easy. You slam your feet onto the metal platform, taking a roll and slamming your back against the hardened metal poles. You get up, attempting to ignore the possible bruises you just received. The officers don't know what to do. You start to running down the ladder, as you are on the other side of a fence disconnecting the two ladder platforms.
You jump off the bottom rung and land in a rather soft pile of trash. You're not away yet, but you have a ton of time. You expect that those four officers are not the only part of this huge cities' police force. You run around the corner, and you look around. Luna got you to run, but what now? You start continue past the horrified, shocked, and even dumbfounded faces that stare at you. There are no officers in sight, but, a peculiar thing dawns you. Another human, just across the way. He looks to have glasses. You want to talk to him, but as he is on the opposite side of the street, you can't reach him. Both of you are causing quite a scene. But you notice something... he's grabbed, and pulled into the nearest alleyway. He doesn't make any sounds, but you don't know why. The sight of this very quick appearance stops you in your tracks. You must help whoever that was.
Looking both ways, you dash across the street. There seems to be nothing bad, focusing on the human with the glasses.
"Stop right there!" Yells a shaky voice. You freeze and look around, now you are open in the street. You catch sight of an officer, they seem to resemble what you think to be a shark. He has a gun! He now has your full attention, but you want to run and find out what happened to the human. "Get on the ground!" He obviously looks and sounds young... must be a cadet. Nevertheless, you don't want him to shoot you. Cars are now stopped, as this scene is about to unfold. The officer's walkie-talkie starts picking up feedback, he picks it up with one of his hands and tries to speak through it. You take this chance to decide what to do, as you have not gotten on the ground. Things just keep getting better and better... What do you do?
Run towards the other human's last location...
OR
Try to reason with this nervous cadet.
(Spoiler: The gun is simply a pain mechanic, it works like a taser, but it wont stop you completely from completing what you want to do. The first choice will get you shot, but you will still get away, as the cadet is too surprised he actually shot his gun.)
