This choice: Pfft, I'm gonna jump on that passing dump truck • Go Back...Chapter #5Pfft, I'm gonna jump on that passing dump t... by: Unknown Kiba turns back and looks at the window behind him once more. He notices a garbage truck about to pass by, and thinks to himself "Am I really considering this?" A second after he thinks that, he launches himself out of the window. Now free falling down to what seems like certain death, he lands on top of the garbage truck with surprisingly great accuracy and breaks his fall.
"I can't believe i just did that and survived" he thought to himself.
Meanwhile, the wolf and her constituents are in absolute shock.
"Did he just....?" one of the leopards started to say in astonishment.
"Yes he did" the wolf interrupted in an annoyed tone. "We have to find that human and fast. We have no idea what he's crazy enough to do... (sigh) this is going to be more complicated than i anticipated." the wolf said.
"Ah, my arm" Kiba said while riding atop the garbage truck. He had already traveled about 6 miles on the truck and nobody had noticed. That was partly due to the fact that he had disguised himself with the many unique trash items piled around him. It was a very disgusting place to be, especially because the smell itself could make someone pass out, but it was a much better alternative to the prison cell he could be in right about now.
"I hope i didn't break it" Kiba said under his breath. "I need to get home. I don't know how i ended up here but i have a feeling this has to do with something bigger than me." Kiba thought to himself.
Right as he finished thinking that, the garbage truck came to a hard stop. It had arrived at what seemed to be a landfill of some sort. It was dark outside by now so it wasn't all too easy to see. It definitely looked like a landfill though. The only weird thing about it though was on the far left side. It almost looked like a large modern style house. It was completely white with more than enough windows wrapping around what seemed to be a living room. An extensive marbled driveway adorned by a perfectly symmetrical row of detailed topiary. It even had a grand infinity pool on the right side!
"What kind of person could possibly live in such a nice house right next to a landfill?" Kiba thought to himself.
As he was observing the grand house, Kiba notices a limo driving up the marbled driveway to the front doors of the house.
"Who is that?" Kiba thought to himself as he was trying to straighten himself out of his crouched position.
Out of the limo had appeared to be a nine tailed fox in a business outfit. She was even bigger than the wolf he had been encountered by earlier, only by a couple of feet, and she gave off a cold aura. Her golden eyes were masked by a set of frameless, oval shaped reading glasses which had a light tent of purple. She wore purple business slacks and a blazer to match, her foot paws could be seen poking out of the bottom of each pant leg. Under the blazer, she had a white shirt and purple tie. Her hair was brunette and stopped at about her shoulders. Behind her, nine regal tails swayed about in a calm yet unsettling manor.
She very confidently walked from the limo to the front doors of what appeared to be her house. Instead of opening the doors and going right into her house though, she stopped right as she touched the door handle and gazed in your direction. Afraid of being seen, Kiba resumes his crouched position but just because he can't see that well, doesn't mean he can't hear.
" Is something wrong miss?" the
chauffeur asked.
"No, Hugo... But do you ever get the feeling that someone is watching you?" she asked the chauffeur.
"No ma'am" said Hugo the chauffeur.
"Of course you wouldn't" said the fox in a rushed tone "nevermind me, you're dismissed for the day" the fox said as she opened the door to her house.
"Thank you ma'am" Hugo said as he turned to get back into the limo.
Once the fox was inside her house and the chauffeur had driven off, Kiba straightened himself again. The garbage truck revved it's engines and began to move forward into the landfill. After scoping out the area and observing that there was no one else out and about, Kiba decided to jump out of the garbage truck into a nearby pile of garbage. He scanned the area around him, looking for something useful, and happened to find an old mattress propped up against a pile of garbage. It even had a small makeshift canopy built over it. Kiba looked around once more to see if whomever built this still lived there. After waiting in a nearby pile for about fifteen minutes, Kiba concluded that it was safe.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to camp out here until the morning." Kiba reasoned.
That being said, he went to go sit up on the old but surprisingly comfortable mattress and unintentionally dozed off into a light sleep. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
