You shake your head prompting the wolf to look away for a moment. After a few more minutes the vehicle came to a stop at what you assumed to be a police station. The wolf looked over at you before getting out of the car. She briskly walked around the SUV before opening your door. "Stay close to me," She ordered. You nodded and slid out of the seat and onto the ground where you found a mob being restrained by police. Several of members of the mob snarled and hissed at you while others threw soda cans and bottles at you. The wolf motioned to two german shepard officers who were holding riot shields, prompting them to form up on either side of you to protect you from the debris.
"What's happening here?" You muttered to yourself in confusion. Unbeknownst to you, the wolf's ears twitched as she subtly glanced back at you.
"Kill him! Prison is too good for him! Kill him and be done with it!" A puma anthro shouted above the crowd as he tried to push his way past two of the officers on crowd control.
"No!" Another shouted, "Give him to us, we'll pay them back for what they did to the past generations!" A ferret anthro screamed.
After you were safely in the police station you were led to a rather empty looking room with a steel table at the center of it. There were chairs on either side of the table and at the center of the table was a metal bar. The wolf motioned for you to sit at the table. Seeing no point in resisting or objecting, you quietly did as you were told.
After sitting down the wolf produced a pair of handcuffs from her belt, you didn't notice as you were distracted by the situation from before outside the police station. "Why do they hate me so much?" You asked as the wolf gently took your right wrist into her padded hand and clamped one of the cuffs around it she then slipped the other under the metal bar on the table and cuffed your other wrist, effectively chaining you to the table.
"I'll be back in a moment," The wolf said before leaving the room and closing the door behind her.
