This choice: I like Luna, she makes me feel safe! (Wait and see what happens) • Go Back...Chapter #6I like Luna, she makes me feel safe! (Wait and ... by: metra You decide against running, you think yourself insane but you actually feel safer with Luna. She seems to want what's best for you and if all goes well, she may even be able to find someone who knows how to send you home. It sure beat trying to survive Deluma on you're own. Speaking of whom, Deluma was still arguing with Luna and becoming more agitated by the second.
"You're beginning to try my patients Captain! I'm giving you one last chance to follow my orders before I decide to have you arrested.
Luna started to open her mouth to protest, but instead she closed it before sighing. "Let the record show that I strongly disagree with you're actions," she stated sadly.
"Noted, now get on with it" Deluma snapped with a dismissive wave as she turned to leave.
Luna turned to face you and knelt down to you, "I'm sorry," She whispered. "But this is the only way I can help you for now..." She put a pair of handcuffs around you're hands but left them unlocked. You looked up at her confused. "As soon as you're told, make a run for it. Find someplace you can stay hidden, I'll find you when I can."
"But where am I supposed to go?" You ask.
Luna gave you a warm smile, "I have faith in you my little human. It's been said that you're kind are clever and adaptive, though physically inferior to our kind. I sense that you are not one to give up easily... you'll find a way." Luna then turned to a female Doberman anthro and motioned for her to come. When she reached you, Luna whispered something in her ear.
"I understand Captain, I'll take care of it" The Doberman replied before walking over to you. She was a head shorter than Luna, but still two heads taller than you. She grasped your arm and walked you toward what looked like a prison van. You resisted, not wanting to go without a fight. The Doberman officer looked down at you with a small smile, "Tell me human, do you really think you can fight against my strength?" She asked.
"I'll never know unless I try" You growl at her, "Besides, you don't scare me! I refuse to just roll over and admit defeat."
The Doberman's smile faded and was replaced by a stern frown, "That attitude could be the death of you," She warned.
"I'm not ready to die," you admit causing the Doberman to tilt her head in curiosity, "But I'm not afraid to die either! I'm not so attached to the fear of dying that I'm willing to live in submission. I'll keep fighting and surviving right to the bitter end!"
The Doberman actually looks shocked at your words. After a few seconds pass, she cracks a wry grin, "I can see why the Captain likes you so much! You're so high spirited... its amazing really. I really do hope we get to see each other again." The Doberman continues to walk you towards the van, but just before she gets there, she pushes you while at the same time yanking the cuffs off of your wrists. You turn around dumbfounded, but you then realize what was happening. She was going to free you all along, she was simply testing you, trying to see what you would do if she bullied you a little. "Now's the time to run," She advised. "Oh, and Mercy! I expect you to remember that word the next time we meet... Kiba Lockheart."
You stare back at her wondering why she would say that, "But what does that have anything to do with-"
"The human's escaped!" The Doberman called, "I need backup!" She then turned to you and gave you a small smile as if to say 'good luck.'
You nod to her and turn to run down the street as several German Shepard officers come chasing after you. "I'll never out run them on a long stretch like this, gotta level the playing field" You think to yourself as you duck into an alley. The alley was slightly narrow, but nowhere near narrow enough to stop you're pursuers. You then spot a fire escape on the side of one of the buildings you're between. Deciding its your best chance of escape, you leap into the air and cling to it before climbing it like your life depended on it, which it kinda did.
"He's on the fire escape!" One of the officers shouted.
"Don't let him get away!" Cried another.
As you climb the escape, you immediately notice a problem, these fire escapes were designed for anthros, and as such their bigger and the bars you're using to climb were spaced much further apart which in turn slowed you down. The German Shepards on the other hand were having no problem at all and gaining on you. You think you're in trouble until you notice an open maintenance grate at the top of the escape. When you make it through the grate, you slam it shut behind you and take off you belt to tie it shut to the top of the escape, double knotting it for safe measure. "That outta hold'em for a while," You mutter before running off across the rooftop, with only the moonlight shinning on you're back. Coming up on a gap between the buildings you leap across the gap, tucking and rolling as you hit the ground on the next rooftop over. "Huh, who know that freerunning would actually save my life?" You pant while looking over your shoulder expecting the police to be on you're trail soon. As if on cue, you hear an echoing snap and a resounding metal clang behind you. You knew that they'd broken through you're makeshift lock and they'd be hot on you're tail within the minute. Unfortunately, you were so busy looking behind you that you failed to see the skylight in the roof in front of you. You tripped over the edge of the skylight before falling though it. You fell into what looked like a grocery store, but that wasn't the biggest thing on you're mind at the moment. You came crashing down on a shelf towards the back of the store. The force of your body falling on the shelf caused it to collapse, but it did break your fall. You lay on the ground staring up at the window you fell through while surrounded by the remains of the shelf and bits of broken glass.
You survived the fall, but the question is, how bad are you hurt? | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
