You look down at your armless shoulders and impulsively decide to put some arms there. The woman is still eating and reading and has now taken out a laptop. You reason she'll be here for a while. You watch her typing away and decide to put her arms on your shoulders since your real arms are now down by your hip.
Her arms disappear from her body and sprout from your shoulders. The sleeves from her blazer merge into your tee shirt. You try to raise your arm but can't.
You are jarred from this by a woman's shriek. "My arms," she gasps. Suddenly the arms on your shoulders lurch about wildly. She must still have control of them. You quickly react. You will yourself to have control of the new arms and for her to not notice.
A quick surge of power later and she has calmed down. She is now fumbling with confusion at her laptop. She doesn't notice that she doesn't have arms but she doesn't suddenly have the skill or ability to work her laptop.
You learned that you must consciously include the not noticing clause in your swaps or the default is that they'll notice. Also the original owner of extra limbs seems to have control unless you also include that.
You shift your attention back to you new arms. They feel a lot like your old ones. It is confusing to have four of them under your control. For a minute or so you move them about. You notice that at first when you move an arm, both arms on that side just mimic the same motion. It takes you quite a bit of practice to control them individually.
You find that by not focusing on it and letting your body just move helps. It is like it knows how to move on it's own. Similar to normal muscle memory. Your conscious thought actually gets in the way.
You see the woman becoming quite frustrated trying to work her laptop.
