Thinking quickly, Ash grabbed the left shoulder of Serena's vest and yanked the flaming side away from her, pulling her arm out of the arm-hole. He pulled again, yanking her right arm out and the vest fully off her. This sent Serena spinning slightly and she landed on her butt. Her dress, however, was still on fire.
Ash was busy stomping the fire out of the vest, so Clemont quickly shouted "Bunnelby, use mud slap!"
The little rabbit dug into the earth before flinging the soft and wet mud onto the fire that had risen to the top of Serena's hips. It quickly snuffed out the flames and cooled Serena's hot and almost burning skin and she exhaled a deep sigh of relief. As she brushed the mud and dirt off her ruined dress, most of the burned portion flaked and crumbled away. To her horror, Serena realized that the front of her dress no barely came down past her belly button! She quickly thrust her hands down between her legs, covering her mud covered panties.
"Bonnie!" she cried to the younger girl, "Can you go get my bag?!"
Bonnie quickly nodded and hurried away towards the tents. Meanwhile, Clemont made sure she was feeling alright and wasn't burned. Ash made his way over to Serena's side and quietly said "I'm sorry Serena, but I'm pretty sure your vest is ruined."
She began shaking slightly as she stayed sitting, facing away from Ash, keeping her hands over her underwear.
"That's alright, Ash. Thanks for putting out the fire, both of you. I'll have to be more careful with Fennekin in the future."
As she waited for Bonnie to return, Serena noticed both boys were trying very hard not to stare at her legs. She tried to ignore the occasional glances at her thighs and underwear.
Finally, Bonnie returned carrying Serena's backpack of clothes. As she handed them to Serena, Bonnie said "You're all muddy and gross, so you're probably gonna wanna wash off in the stream before putting on your clean stuff."
