"Wait right there!" a voice shouted behind Dawn as a hand clapped down onto her shoulder.
"YEEK!" she shouted, reflexively elbowing behind her before turning around.
"Oof!" went the toucher, a tall woman in a bright purple business suit and flashy sunglasses.
"What were you- Ah!? Uh..." Dawn began to chastise until she saw her assailant on the ground, and that she was now surrounded by television cameras. What had she just stumbled into?
"Sorry, sorry. All my fault, really," the woman said as she caught her breath. "Though I have to say, that's a good arm you've got there, miss."
"Wh-what is this?" Dawn stuttered, confused and nervous at the half-dozen cameras focusing on her.
"Well, little lady. I'm Lacey Stars, and you have the great fortune of being the 50th randomly chosen surprise guest for my special show: the hottest sensation this side of Jubilife City, the eyes of the street themselves: 'Rolling Wild in Jubilife'!"
"Wha-? Oh my gosh!" Dawn squealed. She hadn't heard of the show herself, but they way business was in the city new shows were popping up all the time in Sinnoh, each pulling their own angles to get airtime. You could find shows about anything from battle techniques, to Pokemon care, shopping and tourism, and especially reality shows. Anything went as far as what the shows could be about, so even if Dawn didn't know what she was in for, she was excited for the opportunity, and was confident she could handle whatever came her way.
"As our 50th guest, you have the chance to win 100,000 poke dollars..." Lacey continued. "That is, if you're up to the-"
"I was born ready!" Dawn interrupted, striking a confident pose that she hoped looked cool on the cameras. With that much money, she would have enough for not just the movies, but so much more. And the 15 minutes of fame that would come from all this would be a nice boost as well!
"Excellent!" Lacey cheered. "Now that she has accepted the challenge, without further ado, it's time for our new competitor to roll wild! But first, please introduce yourself," she said, bringing forth a microphone."
"I'm Dawn," she said, psyching herself up. "And I am ready to Roll Wild!"
"Wonderful," Lacey grinned. It was perfect that this girl was so eager, already agreeing without hearing what she had to do first. With the other shows being even more competitive she had to put forth some bold plans to ensure the popularity of their program. It was going to be a "wild" show alright. If only the girl knew what was in store for her... But then that would ruin the fun! "Now, to win the prize of 100,000 pokedollars, all you need to do is...
