"I can't believe that clutz was even stupid enough to take all the blame!" Katie giggled to herself in line at the smoothie bar. She was third in line. "Um Hello?! I'd like a protein triple blueberry asap!"
The boy at the register looked at the other two customers in front of her but begrudgingly made her order first.
" Ugh Finally!" She grabbed her smoothie and left, taking a large sip of the drink and shorting the cashier one dollar. She ignored him calling out to her as she walked out the door.
Walking back to her room she had already finished the large drink. She was oddly thirsty, but that drink really hit the spot. Inhaling that dust probably dried out her throat she figured.
She arrived back at her room and immediately went back to her mirror, checking to be sure her hair and makeup was still in place. It was then she noticed something strange.
" I don't remember putting on blue lipstick this morning.." She whispered to herself. " Oh the smoothie, duh!"
Her roommate Monica walked in, looking excited. " Hey Katie, I just bought this new dress for tonight, what do you think?" She was clearly proud of herself.
Katie left the bathroom, and looked her friend up and down. Monica was wearing a beautiful floral dress, showing off her best features. Even Katie had to admit she looked stunning. Though she wouldn't out loud.
" It's nice... I suppose if you want to look like a slut. But that's up to you I guess sweetie." She ended with a fake smile.
"Oh... well maybe I'll return it and look for something else then..." Monica responded sadly, her day was ruined.
Katie walked back to her mirror with a smug feeling of victory. " No way i'm going to let anyone outshine me tonight. Hm?" She noticed something strange again. It was her lips. They looked even darker blue than before, full, and plump. She prodded them with her fingers. " Was it that smoothie? That gross idiot probably messed up my order!"
It was then she actually saw her lips plumpen up again. Now a deep royal blue, Katie's was shocked. " Maybe i'm having an allergic reaction! Not Tonight!"
She searched the bathroom frantically for any allergy medication. Pulling out all the drawers she couldn't find any. She ran out the door. Maybe she could catch Monica before she left the building.
