" Miranda, did you bring any snacks like I asked?" Katie asked forcefully.
Miranda's face went red. She totally forgot. "Oh um.... here let me just see." She rummaged through her purse hoping she had some altoids, or a snickers bar. Anything to make Katie happy. Her hands felt something in a package, kinda squishy. She held it out proudly for her friend. Miranda wasn't a gum chewer, must've been in there by mistake.
"Gum?! Miranda, I asked you for power bars, granola bars, yogurt. You bring gum?!"
Miranda's small victory quickly disappeared. " Well see I've been busy doing our group project for us, and I guess I must've..."
"Ugh! Whatever. Just give me that." Katie groaned, popping the gum into her mouth. " So anyway *smack* we need to tighten up our *gulp* defense. Mmmhhh. Samantha *smack* and ummm mmhh Brittany *gulp* both need to get it together. MMmmm *gulp* where did you get this? MMmmm so juicy!"
Miranda was wincing listening to her friend. Katie was blatantly smacking and chewing her gum like a cow. Her words were going in one ear and right out the other. She was both disgusted and mesmerized by Katie's mouth.
She only snapped out of it, noticing something very peculiar..
