Misty aimed the remote at Ash, choosing the mind changing option. It requested her to choose a template to give to Ash's mind. Misty thought to herself that this could be interesting.
Misty decided to give Ash some perspective on how she felt all the time. She set the remote up, pressed the button and it caused a flash...
"Misty...?" Ash had changed how he was stood, Misty noticed that it was her own posture he had adopted. Now to test it...
"Ash, what's your favourite type of Pokemon?" Easy question...
"Water, duh!" As expected. Ash picked up Pikachu and began to hold him as Misty tended to hold Togepi.
"What do you think of my outfit...?" Misty was obviously going to use this as an opportunity to fish for compliments.
"I love it! I'd LOVE to wear that!" Misty shouldn't have been surprised, but given Ash's voice and body were still the same it still came as a bit of a shock. Misty caught something out the corner of her eye that filled her with fear, then decided to use this as the ultimate test.
"Ash... Look over there." She pointed towards a Caterpie crawling over the path near the trees.
"AIIIIIIEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!" Ash began to hide behind Misty, clutching her arm. Misty smirked. Ash had ripped into her so many times over her fear of bugs, and now he had that exact same fear.
"Why don't we go get you some better clothes, Ash? Maybe we could even improve your hair..." Ash began to look delighted at this idea, though he still was eyeing the Caterpie and looking scared. He nodded and Misty took his hand, taking him to Cerulean City.
But meanwhile, Team Rocket were watching from a distance. And now Jessie had come up with a plan to steal Pikachu for the boss...
