You decide that there's really no point in trying to play the game on your own, so reach for the OFF switch on the side of the wand. However as soon as your finger touches the casing the wand head glows again, and you hear a voice projected from the little speaker on the wand. "Welcome to the Princess Game. Please place your preferred playing piece at the start point, and then wave me again for your first move."
No sorry, but that isn't going to happen, you mutter to yourself. You reach for the toggle switch on the wand, but however much pressure you exert the switch will not budge, and the top of the wand remain illuminated. Then the voice starts again "Now that you have started the game you must proceed. Please select your playing piece, and place it at the start point."
What a pile of crap, you think to yourself. Oh well, if you can't turn it off you can just box it up as it is - and if the batteries run flat it would probably be a blessing! Then the voice continues. "If you are unable to select a playing piece for yourself, the game will make the selection for you. Please make your choice now."
Wow, pretty persistent for a game. You glance at the four playing pieces all depicting a different princess. Should you? No, don't be silly. Pack it away and be done with it. You reach down to scoop up the playing pieces to return them to the box, but the instant your hand touches the first of the princess characters the voice starts again. "Congratulations on your choice of princess. You have selected Princess Cindy. As you have opted to play alone, the other players will be assigned by the game."
