Something else

"Well the reason why we came," Sally told Jenny, "was because Chris needed your help."

"He does?"

"Yes, he doesn't know a thing about putting on makeup. And I thought you could show him a few things."

"I sure could. It'll take some time but we can start with the basics and move on from there. You'll look great when you cheer."

You didn't say anything.

"Oh, I am sorry," Jenny said nervously. "You already look great, but you can look better cheering with makeup."

"It's OK, you two go into the bathroom and," referring to Jenny Sally said, "you work your magic on him."

"Chris, you learn everything she has to tell you," Isabel commanded into the device. You still dreaded what was about to happen, but you now couldn't help but to pay attention to everything that Jenny would say.

Once alone in the bathroom, Jenny had you sit down and she started with, "You know makeup is sort of an art form. You don't just put stuff on your eyes, cheeks and mouth and you are done. "Oh, I have always loved baseball. I have been playing it all my life. I am so lucky I could get onto the team. But even if I couldn't I would have played anyway," Jenny told you with genuine enthusiasm."

You assumed all of this was a lie or a false memory. You had never seen her show any interest in baseball, but you really didn't know her very well. "I didn't know you liked it that much."

"Oh I do. Have you always liked cheerleading?"

"Well to tell the truth, cheerleading is something I just picked up all of a sudden. You could say it happened over night."

"Really? You are so good at it. The way you do all those flips and kicks and stuff." This brought back memories that you know you shouldn't have. You remembered all the routines that the cheerleaders did, along with how to do each stunt, like a backflip and everything else you needed to fit in with the other girls. The knowledge in your head was scaring you. It was really bad that Isabel could make you do anything, but she could also put knowledge into your head too.

You started to examine what you knew and try to see if everything was right. You started with the easy stuff, what do they call it when you hit the ball very far?" It is a....
