David's POV

As mom answered the door, I heard a snicker and turned to find Amelia with a bemused look on her face. "I heard you are having your first period... Cassandra." stressing my new name, she said. "On your first day as a girl, no less." she shook her head. "Well, deal with it. You'll be getting them every month for a long time to come."

"It comes with the territory, I can handle it." trying to be patient, I said. "It could have easily been you switching bodies with me, remember that."

"Well, thank goodness it wasn't me." smiling, Amelia said. "You'd ruin my rep in a day. Still, as annoying as you and your, err, brother are, I have an offer for you."

"What sort of offer?" sensing a trap, I asked.

Amelia smiled, like a python might to a rat. "I can teach you to be a real girl, unlike the failure of a woman the last Cassandra turned out to be."

Cassandra turned to Amelia, annoyed, and was about to speak when mom returned with a woman, a boy, and a girl entering the living room with her. I recognized them as the Harris family, they had moved into the house down the street a few weeks ago. Ms. Harris was a few inches taller than mom, professionally dressed, with long sand blond hair and green eyes. She had all the curves mom had but I didn't say anything, knowing that it would be rude.

"Everyone, this is a childhood friend of mine, Maria Harris." introducing her, she said. "She is a pediatrician and was recently transferred to the hospital just outside of town."

"It's a pleasure to finally meet all of you." kindly, Maria said. "Your mother told me a lot about you." she then turned to her children. "This is my daughter, Sarah and my son, Mark."

Sarah Harris was Amelia's age but almost a foot taller, which I'm surer drove her crazy. She had a firm figure with long black hair and ocean blue eyes. She walked up to me and firmly shook my hand. "Nice to see you again, Cassandra." happily, she said. "Still breaking the hearts of handsome boys?" she laughed, seeing me blush as she released me. "Hey, don't knock it, I'm doing the same. Those guys at school are animals."

"I agree." flatly, Cassandra said.

Sarah turned to him and shook his hand as well. "Here I thought you were the shy one." smiling, she said as she released him. "Good to see you getting out of your shell." she giggled, seeing him blush. "Now, don't get shy again, I deal enough of that with my 'little' big brother."

"Sarah..." moaning, Mark said.

I turned to Mark; he was rather short for his age of sixteen with short sand blond hair and ocean blue eyes. Now, he was only about an inch shorter than Amelia but I heard that was the tallest he was going to get due to some illness he had as a kid. He gets a little teasing about it at school but they quickly learned not to do anything in front of his little sister, she had no fear of anyone. "Easy, Mark." looking at him, I said. "I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it."

Mark gave me a shy smile then took a step behind his mom. That was when I remembered him mentioning he had a crush on my sister. "Good luck, buddy." I had told him the last day of school. "My sister has turned down every boy, so far, who had built up the courage to ask her out."

"Just great." trying not to blush, I thought. "My first day as a girl and I have already got my first period and now we have a neighbor who has a crush on me."

"You're a little short to be a high school graduate." casually, Amelia commented. "Are you a genius or something?"

Cassandra and I both rolled our eyes as Sarah took a protective step forward only Mark smiled slightly. "No, I'm not a genius but thank you for the compliment." softly, he said. "I'm just short for my age."

Amelia was about to say something but noticed Sarah's face harden and smiled. "I'm full of compliments." shrugging, she said. she then looked Mark up and down before adding, "You know, with the right look, you could really swoon a lot of girls; I see some potential here."

Mark blushed brightly at that, giving me a quick glance, then turned back to Amelia. "R-Really?"

Amelia nodded. "Yeah, I do." discretely throwing me a grin, she replied. "I saw you looking at Cassandra..."

Before Mark could respond....

You have the following choices:
